Can you not see the difference between not thinking a deal could be made and the fervent, almost religious jihad Johnson supposedly launched against the Revis faction according to some here. Those feelings, supported by so many here can't just change in a year.

Anyone who believed that crap and repeated it here was just plain wrong.

An opinion yes but it was what basically was being said by most of the press. Plus by Woody himself at his presser when he admitted he had problems dealing with Revis's agents. I wasn't a fly on the wall at Florham Park and didn't hear Woody telling Idzik to tell Darrelle to go fuck himself but based on all evidence and circumstantial evidence a version of that probably happened. Of course Woody let Idzik take the fall for it. And this signing to me was all about Woody saving face rather than his love for Revis as a player.

i've been advocating for this move since last offseason....

but have to say, i'm a little surprised the deal actually came together.
was expecting some last minute Belichick shenanigans, Jets shenanigans, Revis shenanigans, or Rex shenanigans to somehow get in the way....
couldn't be happier it worked out!

Our GM last year didn't want to go all in last season, nothing wrong with that. His strategy had merit. Don't go all in until your team is in position to contend. Build through the draft and supplement in FA. He just executed it very poorly.

His management of the CB situation was bad. His draft, while too soon to be judged completely, left a lot to be desired. Teddy Bridgewater looks to be a damn good player, and Idzik didn't trade up to get him when we had more than enough ammunition. He was terrible speaking in front of people and came across as an idiot. Cut a 4th round pick ridiculously early. Terrible pick.

As long as Macagnan doesn't continue to deal away our draft picks, I'm ok with what he is doing so far.

Very good points, to which I would like to add, Idzik biggest mistake by far was to keep Bradway and those inadequate advisors for draft and free agency talent. That alone, plus his lack of personnel experience absolutely sunk his boat. His strategy was sound, the implementation dismall
