Yeah a bunch. He’s alright. A good mid-round developmental prospect. If he was a first round pick he would’ve taken this season over and blew a bunch of these teams out wire to wire and he didn’t. They struggled in the first half A LOT, came out in the second half, established a better running game and than Ridder started making some bigger throws. They were tied with Murray State at half time before they started running the ball well.. He also doesn’t complete a lot of balls and isn’t incredibly accurate. I honestly expect Cincinnati to get demolished against Alabama to the tune of a 45-14 kind of deal but we’ll see. The Ravens should draft Ridder and make him their permanent backup. He has a place in this league, but I don’t think it’s anywhere near a FQB.
You very well could be right but I see a lot of talent there. I like the kids game overall and I think this upcoming game will showcase a lot. I'm rooting for the kid. He will be one of my favorites in the upcoming draft for sure. Thanks for your input.
EKONWA...hes the OL we could really use. He plays G or OT If we had him, linderbaum the Iowa C...wow what a line plus FA G or T. Karafitas...id like to get...CB is deep this draft .
Milliner isn’t in the same stratosphere with Stingley in terms of the type of prospect coming out of college. The injury concerns are legitimate. But don’t be fooled, Stingley has All-Pro type of talent
All-Pro talent is worthless if you can’t stay on the field. If I was a GM with a top 10 pick, Stingley would be very high on my “do not draft” list. A team with good depth at CB that can afford to take a risk will take him.
Interesting development as Kenny Pickett opted out of the bowl game versus Michigan State. I’m fine with kids doing this other than quarterbacks. Talk about abandoning your team although I doubt NFL teams consider it a negative. I thought he could’ve really catapulted himself a bit more with a good showing and he had the opportunity to do it against a weaker Michigan State defense with a national audience watching (only game in that time slot).
Walter Football has us taking Karlaftis, Stingley, Lloyd, and Logan Hall with our first 4 picks. There's plenty of upside there, but also a ton of risk.
4 defenders and I guess Zach Wilson can go fuck himself. I don’t think Lloyd makes it out of the 20’s but that’d be sweet.
I get the thinking behind it. The defense needs help in all areas as they've allowed the most points in the league. I don't believe it's necessary to double dip at edge though. But, the OL needs stability on the right side and depth at OT with Becton struggling to stay on the field. A quality TE can be found in round 3, so I'm not worried about that position not being addressed early. I wouldn't mind getting a WR in rounds 1-2, but there's a nice group coming out in 2023. Would be better off signing a stopgap and hoping Moore and Davis are healthy for 17 games next year? I don't remember either having injury concerns going into this year.
The Jets can't afford to be picking for need. If they are at a slot and the BPA is not a need then they need to trade down and get more picks. Keep taking the best value they can get and they have a chance at catching back up to the NFL. As it is they are losing ground because they are making picks for need and not value. If they have the #4 and the choices at the pick are the #3 value in the draft (OT) or the #7 value in the draft (S) and the #9 value in the draft (3rd Edge) they need to either take the OT or trade down. Any other pick at that point is just giving up value. The Jets have no value to give up at this point. They are already face-planted on the pavement.
Stingley has only played 10 games in the last 2 seasons - 7 in 2020 and 3 in 2021 - drafting him is the kind of thing that get a GM the sack.
me thinks 2 of the first 4 picks should be OL. not necessarily in any order but that would silence the QB support critics. other 2 should be WR and LB/safety. we'll see.
No. We've already used two #1 draft picks on the OL, one of them at OG. Using two #1 picks on both starting OGs is nuts and no way to build an OL. At most, we should wind up with only 3 #1 picks on the OL, and the third should be used on the RT or C, not RG. Ekwonu's a great prospect, but I'm not drafting a RG in the top 10.
