Ask yourself which high quality defenses Louisville has played. The problem with the QB's in this class is that they're not from the top conferences. That makes a lot of projection necessary and the competition they played against makes that tough.
It would suck to see Buffalo nab Watkins. That would be twice in two years they steal our WR target away from us in the top 10.
My prediction is if Watkins is off the board and Evans is there we snag him. I'm not a huge fan of Lee, but he's a decent player. If the Jets select Ebron, my nickname for him is 'Bron.
Lol. I get that you've been dumping on each and every QB this year because you don't want any competition for Geno but the SEC and the PAC -12 are arguably the best conferences in football. The SEC has Manziel (who you hate), McCarron who you think is mediocre, Mettenberger who before he was hurt you thought was a one year flash and Murray who you don't like. The PAC 12 has Hundley who you don't like and Mariota who is staying but who you also don't like. So we had potentially 6 QBs from the best conferences in college football, none of them who you liked. But you want to dump on Bridgewater because he didn't play in a top conference. Like the SEC or the PAC-12. But Geno who played in the crap Big East and then a year in the Big -12 is worthy of development. Russell Wilson played in the ACC. You're not a fan of Tahj Boyd either. First round picks Matt Ryan was ACC, Joe Flacco was freaking Delaware. Too funny. _
Well he absolutely EMBARRASSED Florida last year in their bowl game, who had arguably the second best defense in the country and a secondary with multiple first rounders. I was pretty sold after that.
There are 4 top QBs out of the best conference in football in this draft. Apparently that's not important in evaluating them. _
Um, I want to take Murray in the 2nd, or McCarron in the 3rd. The only other QB that really interests me is Bridgwater, but there's 0 chance we get him.
That wasn't the point. According to Bway, Bridgewater is probably no good because he played against weak competition. Well 4 guys that played against the BEST competition ALSO aren't any good. When you lobby the board for months against every single QB potentially in this draft, at a certain point the logic used becomes pretzel-like. _
Not really sure where to post this, but more people need to be talking about Davante Adams. I think this kid is a stud. My number 3 rated WR right now. Good size and speed and I love his ability to go up and high-point the ball. Extremely productive, weak conference or not, its impressive. I think he could have Dez Bryant like upside, although not as physical. If he declares (which I think he's leaning towards), he could be a solid 3rd option behind Watkins and Evans in the 1st. If he made it to the 2nd due to the crazy depth in this class, I would jump all over that.
I don't see any way that Watkins, Evans, Lee, and Ebron are all gone by the time Pick 13 comes our way. If they pick one of those guys and sign Maclin in the offseason, I'll be a very happy man. This might be the elephant in the room, but I think there's a significant chance Clinton-Dix is the pick if Rex is still around. I won't be convinced an offensive player will be picked by the Jets in the 1st round until it happens. We had two first round picks last year and did nothing for the offense. I'd like to see a guard, safety, and another receiver/tight end in the first three rounds, but I'm not too picky of what order. Edit: I forgot to mention that I love Jordan Matthews. If they go another direction in the first round, I hope to God they get Matthews in the second.
I dont think Lee or Ebron are of correct value where we will be drafting, but thats just me. Id prefer have Davante Adams and Amaro over those two.
They just took Woods in round 2 this past draft and took Goodwin in the same draft. Maybe there's a change in GM but the Bills need some OLine help and some secondary help. They'll bite at a tackle.
