Watching this team and this HOF QB, Donovan McNabb, of the Washington Redskins get a contract extension followed by a harsh benching. Now we're discussing what a failure this organization is for doing it. The Jets had a shot to get him in the off-season as a backup to Mark. Beautiful. Mike T. misses, yet, again.
And we think our Offensive coordinator is bad. Shanahan is just covering for his joke of a son's mistakes and blaming it on McNabb. I say he goes to either the Cardinals or 49ers next year and he destorys that division.
yeah i dont think the contract is worth anything if they release him by a certain date. it was really a contract extension with a ton of safety strings attached. i think shanahan is losing it and is a little too much of a control and ego freak at this point in his career. i have no problem enjoying daniel snyder looking like a tool and sucking year after year. i just wish it would start costing him some money eventually. mcnabb will start again, i dont know how good of a backup he would be as he thinks he is a starter still. there is nothing for rex grossman to prove that he hasnt in the last 5 years. he stinks there is no way around it.
There must be something we don't know about. there's a reason for this rift. Maybe donovan doesn't practice hard or study film enough...
Honestly, its more ridiculous to me that Snyder signed him to that contract. TO quote westhoff "Redskins...Fuck them.":deadskins:
Absolutely agreed. Shanahan benching McNabb was the right move. I just don't get the point of an extension when mcnabb hadn't been particularly good.
The defense played horrible again. He lead them back down from 3 Scores. His last turnover was at the very end of the game with no timeouts left.
tru fair enough. At any rate he played well but to think he's solved his TO problem based on one game against a mediocre defense is a bit absurd. He's been an udda disasta in that regard for years.
