Previous NFL McKnights were decent. Dennis was an okay lineman for the Chargers and a couple other teams. James had some good moments with the Seahawks, Cowboys, and Dolphins. Ted had three seasons with more than 600 rushing yards for the Chiefs. In 1978, he was one of five Chiefs to run for over 100 yards in a game. I believe that is the record for the highest number of different players to have a 100-yard rushing game with the same team in a season.
Woodhead? I don't know. I don't think he'll see much action with the first team, but they did put him in on obvious passing downs a few times. He'll likely get some playing time, but I think Greene and Tomlinson see most of the snaps with McKnight finally getting some first team time.
Someone needs to start a "Cut Everyone" thread. Just clean the roster and start over. It's becoming clear reading some posts that no one deserves to be a Jet.
Yea, we've already seen Woodhead bring the Meh with the first team OLine. I don't think that Matt Slauson is going to be the career maker for him.
I never understood the Woodhead obsession that some posters have, but to me, it's clear that the coaching staff doesn't have a lot of faith in him either (as a WR or RB) -He was cut last season (even if it was for a day) -The Jets drafted Joe McKnight to be the 3rd RB -The Jets traded for Holmes and signed Laveraneus Coles So where does Danny Woodhead fit in? He doesn't. And we all know he can play teams for his life.
meh not really I really want washington to make this team. If u have greene and Washington getting most of the carries you can limit lt so that he lasts the entire season. Is there any chance the jets cut T-Rich? It seems like such a douche move but it would really help out our rb dilemna
Why would Greene and Washington get most of the carries instead of Greene and Tomlinson? I'd like to see 4 RBs make the roster, but Washington isn't going to suddenly see a ton of carries. If he makes it, he'll be a garbage time/goal line/insurance back.
