Personally I think Wilson gets cut before the contract. There are numerous reports that he can't cover, tackle and argues with the staff.

Ducasse on the other hand is a stiff. Callahan hates him and openly wonders why they drafted him in the second and almost pulled the trigger in the first for him. He probably makes the practice squad.

Training camp has started and it is already shaping up to be the 2 worst picks ever.......... unreal..... fire Tannenbaum now.

When, I mean IF, they make the team, they'll deduct the money they would've gotten if they didn't make the team from their contracts...

I think what he meant to ask was since Duc' and Wilson haven't signed any kind of deals yet, are they getting any kind of monetary compensation while attending all these practices & mini-camps.

I can only cover for part of his retardation. I can't possibly explain what he meant by that.

    LOL-

I wonder how that works now, players are allotted tickets so I assume they might at a huge discount or most likely, free.

    On a side note-

I think we're going to see an unprecedented number of training camp holdouts from this year's draft class.

Maybe it's because of the uncertainty of next year's business climate, but I can't remember the last time we've been this close to July when not a single first or second round pick had been signed. I know everything typically happens in the last week of July, but usually there's a handful of second rounders who have inked by now.

I bet all the GM's are discussing how they're going to structure their guarantees and trying to reach a consensus.

    That's just friggin great.

2.36 Mil to a guy that has not done a single thing in the NFL except puke.

Isn't that greedy bastard aware we need to scrape up a 100 mil for Revis?

The league minimum is around 350,000 per year.

so 1.4 million would be the lowest possible contract in that time frame, by my estimation.

Actually did the research. Now this is based on the current CBA.

    Year one, no experience 325,000
Year Two, one year exp. 415,000
    Year Three, two years.. 505,000
Year Four...not yet set.. 595,000 (assuming the trend is continued in the new CBA)

So you can see, the minimum is going to guarantee him 1.84 mil...

So to get him to sign, based on draft position, they only gave him 500,000 above the minimum.

You can say that again. I can usually pick out the sarcasm pretty easily, but in this case it's hard to tell what's what.
