You have got that right. Some of these announcers are so manic & they are saying the same old news over & over & over. They get so excited about saying nothing that you would think they just won the lottery.
Geeeeez.....would really hate to see that news printed....but the guy's body looks like a walking poster/model for steroid use.
Is anyone else disturbed by the fact that Jose Canseco turned out to be the most honest man in baseball?
That'll never happen. If he did it, he's still on it, and I don't think he's that stupid. I'm admittedly biased, but I think a lot of non-Cardinal fans are jealous of Pujols. He's clearly the best player in baseball and is ridiculously consistent and clutch. He's a good guy and donates a considerable amount of time and money to his and other charities. I don't get why everyone thinks he's an asshole. Because he's good?
I'm a Pujols fan. Love him as a player and respect him as a person, but he went down a few notches in my book after his statements at the end of the 06 LCS, stating that the Mets were 'just really not that good' or something along those lines. We were the best team in the NL that year and the Cardinals had a very mediocre year in 06, but obviously in a 7 game series anything can happen, and the Cardinals ended up on top. Making the statements he'd made were not only not needed at the time, but they also seemed uncharacteristically classless of him.
Misnomer. People keep repeating that because he outed some juicers as juicers. He also printed outright lies in his book. Jose Canseco is a whore. He's been broke for years, and he published the book not because he cares about the truth, but because he is desperate for money (because he's also an idiot who blew all the money he earned). Canseco is far from being the most honest man in baseball. Agreed.
I don't remember him saying that, but I do remember seeing a quote of him saying that Glavine didn't pitch that well after Game 1, even though the Mets won the game. I could be wrong. Either way, I agree, the Mets were a better team that year, they just ran into the Cards at the wrong time. The Cards fell through the cracks and won a World Series.
