Nah. Every year there is some "next World Beating running back" or "The next messiah QB" coming out of college. They hype these guys so much. At least 50% of them are busts, if not more. And each year it's "This guy is the real deal. Gauranteed."

I don't care what the Jets do. If they want a good back with a bad O-line, that's their business.

But the thing your forgetting is that we r like one good run blocking gaurd from a very good line, for a very long time

So you want to take a guard top 5? We can always take one in round 2,3,4 5,6,7. Chris Snee is a really good guard he went rd 2.

No my perfect stradegy is this.. trade pennington to Kansas City because Herm loves Chad and there quarterbacks haven't proved a thing especially Croyle, for a second rounder. (maybe wishful thinking) if not him then vilma's second rounder. First round draft Mcfadden at #3, trade our 2 second rounders for a late teen or early twenties 3-4 olb, idk Harvey, Gholoston, Groves. then in the third take the best run blocking gaurd available and stick him between D'brick n Mangold.

I know you can grab a good gaurd in the third round and there is always free agency

The cowboys have two first round picks and jerry jones is rumored to have a hard on for mcfadden.

the cowboys will end up with two picks in the twenties, maybe even one in the thirties. They would have to give us their entire draft plus their next years first to get to #3 where they can pick McFadden. Noway they do that!

There are no guarantees in anything involved w/the NFL draft but taking a guy like McFadden is a risk im willing to take. Unlike the tackle position RB's of his caliber come but so often. The last 2 drafts have had Peterson and Bush but before that it is Tomlinson. This is a guy who does not have the injury concerns of Peterson or the durability issues of Bush. IMO I can respect someone who says do not take McFadden if they have an alternate approach. Chris Long, and Dorsey are too small, maybe Jake Long or Calais Campbell are possibilities. I would trade down only if we got the deal of a lifetime b/c I think McFadden could be the player of a lifetime

There will NEVER be another Bo Jackson.

  12. Great.

So now you guys can ruin draft day for us too. I'm sure you'll be here, pouring sugar in all our gas tanks...

Tell me...why do we jet fans even bother anymore?

Let the Patriots have everything... Championships, free agents, and the draft.

Exactly, what if a player that fits into the 'biggest need' is not worth a top 4 pick? I say you take the BPA, which, if healthy, is D McFad. So what if we have T Jones under contract for another 3 years. Last time I checked, you can't have enough playmakers on your team.

And for everybody that just says, trade the pick, Miami was in that position where they wanted to trade out of the #2 pick, but nobody offered enough to move out of it.
