Every news source is reporting that Josh McCown was told to not talk about why he did not play last night. They must be afraid that this guy is a real truth teller, if he was allowed to talk he probably would have said that there is no need for him to play, the way this team has these two quarterbacks so screwed up I would be the starter if both of my arms were in slings taking snaps.
Sheldon runs his mouth nonstop, and they tell McCown not to talk? That makes as much sense as everything else about this team.
Look at his career stats...we have no chance with him as a starter and he may be our best option. He rarely stays healthy, and Petty is better than Hack. Were in trouble.
Yea this makes no sense. Unless it's a suspension or something (doubtful, would've leaked) then it's because they wanted Hack/Petty to get the reps since McCown is a known commodity.
I don't know if this is true of course, but if it is, do the Jets have no idea how the media works? Give them a vacuum and they'll invent a dozen conspiracy theories in half an hour. The truth is always so much more boring than a good conspiracy theory.
Bite your tongue sir! We need McClown's 2-20 record this season more than ever. Gotta be in the top 3 man!
Jets pr: don't tell everyone we were afraid of getting you killed behind a suspect trial o line, thanks josh
TB "said" they were taking a longer look at Hack and Petty. Next week, its back to normal. Or some such bullshit.
Could it have been a disciplinary thing? Maybe McCown was late for a meeting? Oh wait. Bowles said that's no big deal
It was actually the smart move and what most have wanted from the get go. They should have went in to camp with this mindset. One of the youngsters might be further along now
Idunno man. Do you run like a 4.0 40 or something? I'm guessing we're going to run a primarily shotgun formation with you as our quarterback in slings. I'm guessing you will catch and secure the ball with solely the use of your hands and then run for the hills in a Wildcat formation. I'd like to see this.
how much do you want to wager in vegas that the bills trade up ahead of us to grab the guy mac wants? unless we have the #1 pick, it will happen. remeber the favre plan that atlanta blew up? we ended up with browning nagle. enough said! history repeating itself.
I don't think it was a smart move if that's the case. I want Hackenberg or Petty to win the job not have it handed to them. The first time Hackenberg ever gets blitzed in an NFL situation and he doesn't even have a clue its coming? he's not even close to being a starting NFL quarterback. It is what it is, and I've never been a traditional Hack hater. He stood out as completely underqualified saturday night It's time to get the people ready who belong on the field. McClown followed by Petty in preseason game 3. It does everyone a disservice, including hackenberg himself, to play him when he is that lost out there
There's no reason mccown couldn't get all the snaps after preseason game 3 if it was deemed necessary for him to start after seeing what the kids look like. This is supposed to be a development year. Not much of that happening wasting time with mccown
I'll bet you $3,000,000 "that the bills" don't "trade up ahead of us to grab the guy mac wants". I'd go higher but I have the rest of my millions tied up in pork futures.
