Oh get out of here with that BS. You watch the 4th quarter yesterday. McCariens is not a very bad receiver. That's crap.

All you say is true , but I still believe that whilst hes still a Jet he has more to offer than we are taking. The next few weeks will be interesting to say the least. Its my opinion that JMac will 'shine' and so too will others.
KC just adds something we haven't had for a long time , Vertical threat and manoeuvrability and zip.

Brad Smith made some catches and picked up a first down on that last drive in Regulation.

the guy definitely is mediocre right now, but the potential is there. i'm willing to wait for his development, because if he learns, he can make people miss in space, which is always threatening to a Defense.

I'd rather take the guaranteed 8 yards on first down than risk a pitch back a couple of yards for a chance at more.

One mans level of suckiness doesn't affect another mans just for the fact that the one man happens to suck more at this moment. The fact of the matter is that when the Jets are good again they are going to need better production out of the #3 & 4 WRs.

What Smith has going for him is the potential to get better that JMAc doesn't have. He is more of a what you see is what you get player and you don't like what you see. He has 6 more games as a Jet.

    Actually.... NOT AT ALL....

Jmac is real hard worker and a good guy..

he came here and was caught in the whole Hackett / Chad's arm / collapse of 05, thing then Cotchery surpassed him as a clearly better talent...

Jmac is still a real good WR - He's been caught in the of a lot of bad luck and bad timing on his part but, hopefully the next few weeks hell get his shot to prove himself again....

He's a good guy and a hard worker - Don't Stoop to this level of unsubstantiated Lies to try to pile on.

Your statement above is pure BS.

Here's the major difference: we won. Brad Smith's drops didn't cost us the game.

Very well said Gusto. We've speculated for a long time now as to what our world would be like if we had a QB who could throw and throw accurately. Clemens exhibited both on Sunday.

Maybe I'm going to have to lighten up on having JMac handcuffed to the pipes in the boiler room of Giants Stadium. I'm thinking maybe let him go to Dallas and let him sit on the bench wearing leg irons so he can watch the game.

JMac will look better because he played with Klemens on the practice squad and probably became his favorite target during that time. With Coles seemingly hit or miss now Jmac's stats will improve by default. He's still garbage, but who replaces him on the roster right now?

Clemens and his sub-50% completion percentage are the opposite of accurate at this point...and I am not basing that on stats, but actually watching him play the last two games.

Brad Smith is clearly Clemens favorite target.

Reading through the play by plays, yea that would seem to be the truth. Smith seems to be his security blanket, but I can't imagine why. For all the passes thrown his way he really hasn't done much at all.

He is for the same reason you thought JMac was. They worked together on the 2nd team. Throw in Coles being out and Cotchery getting more attention and B.Smith increasingly gets the looks from Clemens.

I must say, I was pleasantly surprised the way J-Mac played yesterday. He had some key catches late in the game. I wouldn't depend on him to make the big catch, but I wouldn't rule him out to give him the ball if called upon. It's good to have him still on the team just in case one of the other receivers go down with an injury [knock on wood].

The thing that bothers me most about JMac isn't his drops - but his route running. It looks sloppy and unsharp. His cuts aren't on a tight angle - they are more loopy(I forgot how to describe but anyone who has played football knows what I am trying to say). I can also remember him more than once "quitting" on a go route. That irks me more than anything. Unless Smith learns how to catch our WR depth is very thin.

I think you mean "crisp" in terms of his route running.

Last year he seemed totally disinterested on the field and his play lacked any determination.

This year, he really hasn't been on the field much for me to form an opinion outside of his 2 huge drops against BAL.
