I respect your opinion but I disagree. If I had to rank Stafford I would take 19 other QBs ahead of him plus the top 3 to be drafted this year. Although I can see people ranking him anywhere from 14th to 21st with good argument. Stafford while it's not universal he is mostly disliked among Lion fans with the hardcore Lion fans I know disliking him and wanting him cut. With one playoff win in 57 years its understandable why many Lion fans are unhappy. My opinion is it's better to have a mediocre middle QB like Stafford than what we have had for so many years. He is the definition of pedestrian not good but not bad. Better than Bortles but not a top 10 guy or a bottom 10 guy.
If Stafford was coming out this year he would be the 1st QB picked. It's not easy to win when you have one of the 10 greatest QB's in your division and absolutely crappy management for your entire career. Right now the NFC is overall miles better than the AFC. It's loaded. Blaming Stafford for Detroit being crappy is like blaming Dan Marino for the Dolphins never winning when he was their with a HOF coach. Name your 14 to 21.
So U totally understand that Abz & I live about 75 miles apart & my suggestion 12 years ago was that we split the difference & meet halfway between the 2 cities we each live in. Abz weaseled out of that meeting which is why even if I agree to a meeting now I was of the HO that Abz would leave me at the altar. Also another thought is why after 12 years he would all of sudden want a meeting when if anything my views towards the current regime of NYJ managers from owner to HC to GM have gotten even blacker then they were 12 years ago
