At this point netting a late 3 or early 4 would be good value for Maye. We will probably even consider a late 4 if its a 2022 pick...
Apparently, the Jets defensive scheme doesn't value the type of skills he has as a safety. He wants big bucks and the Jets don't think it's worth it. They have other positions that have higher priority.
Just got a blast from NFL.com that Marcus Maye said he never requested a trade, is happy as a Jet and hopes he remains a Jet.
Sounds like him/his agent and this DUI have caused a few hot irons in the fire to be put out. Can't be out here demanding to be traded as its one less horse in the race to pay him money at the end of the season. Sent from my M2007J20CG using Tapatalk
Nobody wants to sign trouble or drama so, Maye had better play it straight if he wants a happy ending from the shit he got himself into. Maybe he looked at the situation in Houston where a well known QB has 19 counts regarding sexual misconduct facing him. Not a lot of teams are willing to take on that kind of bad PR.
If he really doesn't want to get traded, I'd expect him to move on from his agent who has caused a lot of stink.
I’m starting Maye today in fantasy football. No Mosley, and we already vulnerable up the middle, where the Pats like to operate. Also if Maye wants a decent contract here or anywhere, needs a good showing to remind everyone why. Motivation.
Well that's going to be Maye done for a while. Sucks that this is the worst case scenario for the dude. Sent from my M2007J20CG using Tapatalk
Terrible news on the achilles--i hope he was smart enough to have an insurance policy against injury--Injury could cost him tens of millions.
most likely we just don't resign him and he sits out a year and rehabs then comes back to the NFL on a 1 year cheap deal. I feel bad for him. He deserved a decent payday. His agent fucked him over by being greedy. I guarentee JD would have resigned him for like 3 years 24 mil total. instead he got 1 year for 10.5 now he's likely out next year getting 0. he lost at least 10+ million on that play.
