I never changed anything about my story. I said all his sacks came from running 7 yards up field and looping to the QB. On that one sack, he went 7 yards up field to loop, and went inside when the full loop wasn't there.

Why does it piss everyone off so much that Maybin runs around like a bitch to the QB? Doesn't it make you happy that he gets there? But call it like it is, it's unique and unusual because of his physical limitations. He'll never be Mario Williams, and I dont get why that realization makes everyone so upset.

Funny coming from a bitter Bills fan... I think I can speak for everyone on this board when I say no one thinks he is Mario Williams.

I would like to hear your play by play on a typical sack that isn’t caused by the defensive player “looping” around the tackles... Because Im pretty sure the majority of sacks do come by beating the tackle to the outside (at least for OLB’s).

And in that picture vs the redskins, its called a COUNTER MOVE. You know, where you set up a move by using a speed rush a few times, and then starting off that way and clubbing inside, catching the tackle off guard... But I guess your explanation is better- looping outside and then looping some more inside and then sacking the QB on accident

If a 5 year old ever asks me what happened on a sack play, Ill be sure to explain it like that so they can understand.

    Jesus Christ. This again?

Why do Jet fans want so badly for Bills fans to give a damn about pussy ass Maybin? NO ONE CARES for the 20th time in this thread. If he's not good enough to play on our team, then I wish him the best and couldn't care less where he plays. He's a good kid and I hope he does well, because he deserves it. I dont know why Jet fans dont realize this. You want so badly for me to be upset about Maybin, but it just isn't there. There's no reason to be upset.

Yea - you did, you said the only way he gets sacks is running up field and looping around. Then when you saw a different technique you criticized that as well because he also went upfield first.

Do you even understand why it would be bad if all he could do is go upfield and loop around? If that was all he could do NFL offensive linemen would easily shut him down knowing he was just going outside and around. Because he learned to effectively use different techniques that play off his tendency to go outside he has become much more dangerous as a pass rusher. That particular play he played off the tackle expecting him to go outside and around by clubbing his inside shoulder and beating him inside. You see, now the linemen have to play him more honest which makes the outside rush more dangerous, OR if they don't play him honest he can beat them to the inside.

Beating him inside is pretty much exactly the opposite of what you said he always does. Yet somehow you are trying to argue that you've stuck to your guns here. :drunk:

He's also been able to work a bullrush and spinmove into his repertoire, both of which play very well off the tackles expecting the hard outside rush. You are on here trying to tell us (and this is an exact quote) that "there is nothing he can do more than run around as fast as he can and try to loop to the QB." That is 100% false and you are completely full of shit.

Now stop back peddling and trying to change your story because you sound even more ridiculous trying to do that. It's almost like you don't understand much of anything about pass rush technique and you're running your mouth about something just to try and get a rise out of people ...

You're not dealing with a bunch of retards. We can see right through your bullshit, so either bring more to the table or stfu.

The thing is - Maybin is only really in on obvious passing downs where he can run up the field after the QB and not worry about a RB running thru the space he vacated. If he were on the field and doing this on 1st and 2nd down, yeah it would be a liability, but he's not.

So really, who cares about his technique as long as it's effective?

Your not talking about last year are you? His progression last year is exciting. I can't wait to see what happens with a full offseason to prepare.

The most persistent hostile non Jet fan is a Bill's fan..the only team in the AFC east that we swept..but it isn't about being envious or trolling it's a reality check..I feel that at the bank of making some fucking sense that check would bounce.

There is no way he will be able to keep it on. The guys metabolism is through the roof. He's done this weight gain thing a few off-seasons in a row now.

He's always going to be a smallish pass rushing specialist linebacker with an incredible motor.

First and foremost, Fuck the Bills.:buffaloblows: lol But what you said here is true. He really has no pass rushing moves and forget about a counter. He's just faster than most of the people trying to block him. In Rex's system it works. In more traditional defenses, it won't. It's like point guards in Mike D'Antoni's system in the NBA. Numbers are grossly inflated. That being said, I also see Jets fans' optimism. He brings youth to a linebacking core that is getting rather long in the tooth. He has a frame that seems to be able to accomodate more weight. Maybe guys like Dunbar can help him develop some pass rushing moves. I think it's a victory is he merely doesn't ever get blown up by a running back again. :rofl2: That was embarassing.
