Maybin got most of his sacks from his motor. I don't believe he had one that wasn't because of additional pressure. If you watch the opposing QB, they are getting the ball out quickly because our LB's are to slow. JMO

I would like to see Maybin play a couple series, and see what he can do.

I'm not really sure if you can call him a bust. He hasn't been on the field and when he is, they are blitzing him up the middle which I don't think anyone would expect him to get pressure.

Hes a better rusher than Pace, Thomas and Devito but yet all those guys play over him in 3rd +6 situations. Same goes for Ellis and Coples. I don't get it, our younger, faster, "playmakers" aren't seeing the field but yet our old, slow, "run stoppers" who can't stop the run either are still in on passing situations.

I love Rex but this is the first time I'm completely lost on the personnel out there. Hes trotting people out by pay scale not by production and unfortunately if he doesn't inject the youth (how could it hurt, really?) and make a switch at QB if Mark continues his way below average play hes gonna be gone :(

Hes not on the field bc teams are running the ball up and down the field on us. if we ever have a lead or the balls getting aired out he will be in the game. but that hasnt been the case as of late

He's never on the field, I say give him a chance, rushing from the edge, utilize his speed

Honestly. How are the Jets going to beat the Bills week 1.

You have to earn respect. You made more than enough shitty posts this off season. That is why people give you shit.

No one thought Maybin would be an every down LB. He's a situational pass rusher who hasn't gotten playing time because our D can't stop run. Its 3rd and short consistently.

We pay him chump change and we weren't the ones who wasted a draft pick on him so who cares.

Aaron Maybin has been lost in shuffle. He played in in just 2 snaps.

According to Cimini, Maybin played in 2 snaps yesterday. TWO.

More of a situation of Rex wanting him to be in there to rush the passer but they are never in that situation. Maybe see if the guy can do anything for $6 mill aside from run in a line to the QB

One half decent game last year does not remove a player from bust-dom.

BTW, those saying it's not fair to call someone a bust that isn't getting any playing time.... Rex is a defensive genius, correct? If the guy had anything to offer, I'm sure he'd put him on the field...

Maybin was only on the field for 2 defensive plays yesterday..no idea what that means.

It means the Niners were rarely in obvious passing situations because they controlled the game and the LOS all day and were able to run on nearly every down if they wanted to.

Maybin is a situational pass rusher that comes in on obvious passing downs. This isn't too difficult.

Wow. Well they really didn't throw it very often, but he should be in alot more when we play QB's who throw it more then Alex Smith

Don't understand, we have no pass rush and he led us in sacks last year, why not use him?

He had more then a one decent game. He was the one guy who seemed to consistently get pressure on the QB even if he wasn't getting a sack. The issue this team has is that they can't stop the run. Did you see what the 9ers, Steelers and Dolphins did to this team? The Spiller game everybody just claimed was garbage time but it was obvious week 1 there was a real problem with the defense. If you are giving up 4-6 yards on 1st down it's hard to have a guy who is a "pass rush specialist" play. Rex might be a great defensive mind but it's becoming quite clear he is a pretty shitty evaluator of talent.

Thats what I don't get it. Its not like we are stuffing the run anyway so why not put him out there and give him a start over Thomas.

Wrong. I made statements that Jets fans didnt want to hear, but were true.

    Statements like:

-The Jets are not a top team.
-Mark Sanchez is not a good QB, certainly not a franchise guy that can carry a team.
-The Jets have no pass rush and have to rely on numbers to rush.
-The Jets front 7 is old.
-The Bills and Jets are mediocre teams fighting for a wild card.
-The Bills have a better o-line than the Jets.
-CJ Spiller is a better RB than anyone on the Jets team, and he isn't a bust.
-Aaron Maybin is, and will always be, a fringe situational guy, who gets dominated in the run game.
-Aaron Maybin cannot gain and hold weight.

Just because Jets fans dont agree with what I say doesn't make what I say shitty. Everything turned out to be true, you just dont like it.

-The Bills are not a top team.
-Ryan Fitzpatrick is not a good QB, certainly not a franchise guy that can carry a team.
The Bills have no pash rush and have to rely on numbers to rush.
-The Bills front 4 sucks ass.
-The Bills o-line is not as great as it is cracked up to be.
-Mario Williams is, and always will be, an overrated ingrate loser and cannot sack the QB.
    -You suck donkey balls

Just because Bills fans dont agree with what I say doesn't make what I say shitty. EVerything turned out to be true, you just dont like it.
