Maybe the Jets should have tried TO out. I think he would be a good one year fit for any team before he starts getting weird around year two.
FWIW profootballfocus.com had harvin at #6 with a +14.3 overall grade and Holmes at #109 with a -11.0
If I bring in Harvin I deal Kerley away in the process. You could get away w/ a Harvin/Holmes tandem if you've got Hill/Schilens/Turner behind it. All 3 are 6'4 & above and can run.If Sparano wants a chunk yardage passing game that prospective unit would certainly be capable of some major production
Kerley had 300 receiving yards in 8 games last year. It would only be a logical deduction that he could have 600-700 if he played 16, wouldn't it ? Especially since those are relatively reasonable numbers and nothing astronomical. And of course you said a career year, which means he would be doing better than he did as a rookie with no camp. And Schillens numbers are in a similar boat. I dont expect them to both get 600-700 yards, but if they had "career years" like you so suggested, they would surely both eclipse that.
I thought I saw a headline today that Plax signed with PItt. A nice homecoming for him. To all TO people NO! His career ended in Dallas.
a #1 for Harvin?? Even while Brandon Marshall was traded for a couple 3s? A bit much to give don't you think? If the Jets are that desperate at WR, then they can go get Plaxico again. I wonder what that guy is thinking after seeing Chad, TO, and Moss getting jobs when he was the only one productive last year ... essentially with Chad's production in NE, Plax was the only one playing!
Ugh seriously. You would trade a first round draft pick and Kerley for Harvin. This is everyone thinks you're retarded. This and the whole Braylon shtick.
I don't think Plax is a bad signing bc I think the guy is a solid blocker on the outside. He's bigger than any DB out there and he's dangerous in the red zone (mark had nice continuity with Plax in the red zone). Plax is slow. We all know Plax is slow. Plax has personal problems. We all know Plax has personal problems. The question really all boils down to how badly we really need another receiver. One think I have learned from Tanny is once he makes a decision on something it's final. Tanny never looked back a Braylon and something tells me he's not looking back at Plax.
So im retarded for my OPINIONS on a football message board amongst fellow fans? You have some serious issues and using that word like you do tells me alot about you. Move on pal if I dont agree with you and others im retarded? All you guys would immediately jump on the Percy Harvin bandwagon, regardless of what the NYJETS traded away to get him.
If the NYJETS go into the season with the current WRs and they fail you will be the first one whining and crying like a little bitch and want Tanne fired. Book it.
I would actually think its completely fucking idiotic for a run first team without a LG/RG/RT under contract to start next year to give up their 1st round pick and a promising young player for a wide receiver that they dont have the cap space to resign.
If the current WRs fail im blaming it on the OL not the receivers. Which is why it would be nice to have a 1st round draft pick to help address the offensive line next year
