CP need to be benched NOW!!!!!!!! I am a big time CP fan but he has sucked this season. We need to put in Kellen and see where he can take us which won't be that far. It's not all CP fault we just have a bad team ALL around. The only thing we can do now is start a new QB we can't start a whole new OL,D,RB etc. So like I said before we need to start talking about who we will take with the #1 pick in the 08 draft.
What argument. It's a fact. Hehe, check out the BB thread in the TT forum and get schooled. As a matter of fact, I only found out 10 minutes ago that the Yankees blew it. For real.
He lacks the horses necessary to compete? why did we win 10 last year and in all but the jax game lose close games? we have more talent this year and as much talent as we had when we made he div rd in '04. last year we had almost the same players we had that almost carried us to the Championship game just 2 years earlier. We have had alot of talent the last 2 years, stop using lack of talent as an excuse. The team was built to win 3-5 years ago? 3-5 years ago it had to be continually retooled b/c of the cap problems of the previous regime. The previous CS made the playoffs 3 times w/ very different teams each time and they didnt take over a playoff team. Bottom 10 talent? we are alot closer to top 10 than bottom 10. Chad is slumping right now but he's still a top 15 QB even w/ his struggles, Jones is a to 10-15 talent, our WR duo is easily top 10 closer to top5, we have 2 #1 picks on the OL and w/ kendall the OL would have been closer to top 10, defensively we have top 10 talent but are wasting our best defensive playes in the wrong system, our STs has top 5 talent. Bradway's been gone for 2 years now, stop w/ the excuses. Mangini and tannenbam were left w/ a good foundation, a 10 win team 1 year removed due to massive injuries. Mangini ruined a good D not Bradway, what FA defextions have stripped us of talent? Randy Thomas? we replaced him w/ Kendall who was good until we got silly and refused to pay him, who esle did we lose that hurt us? Moss? we got coles back(we WISELY let Coles go the 1st time b/c he didn't deserve what Wash paid him and we were a kick away from the title game w/o him) and Moss had 1 big year in wash and is hurt all the time again now. Should we have overpaid Farrior who had 1 good year(in a contract year under Herm by the way) in his first 5 years? jaon ferguson was also overpaid and did very little in dallas before he got hurt ths year. Mckenzie? The Giants badly overpaid him and he's been an inconsistent player for them. These were all replaceable gys and Bradywa replaced them, we retooled 3 times. We went to postseason w/ almost 3 completely different teams. Don't blame our talent(your perception of our lack of talent) on a regime that was in place 2 years ago. W/ what they inherited and 2 years of FA and the draft the team had a chance to significantly upgrade. We've done a horrible jon in FA the last 2 years but a good job in the draft even though we gave up alot to get what we got this year. You want a guy like parcells who was maybe the worst drafter this franchise has ever seen?(and that's saying alot) and a guy who ruined our cap and gave big deals to soe of his favorites as he was walking out the door that further screwed our cap. That's who you'd want?
I can not let the nonsense above be the last post: Edited repost................. Thank you for being the voice of reason. I can not do it because I can not deal with ignorance well. Also it is funny how this regime in its 2 years has drafted more players, that at the very least are productive, then any regime going back 20 years. Please go back and find a Jets FO/CS tandem that has brought in more talented players in 2 drafts then Tannenbaum and Mangini. Lets go over all the holes this team had when Tannenbaum/Mangini arrived: QB- Needed a future QB and a quality back up or two. OL- Had 4-5 holes there. Mawae was old as dirt and was hurt so everyone was in need of replacing. Kendall btw was an aging Jag that was close to being cut x2. RB- Curtis was done DL- They need at least 3. A stud DE a stud NT and at least 1-2 for depth as rotation is a very important for a quality DL to function. OLB- Who in the 2005 group was a stud Pass rusher? Sacks in a 3-4 come here. ILB- Barton was aging and hurt. S- Coleman stinks CB- Barret stinks and Dyson was not here yet. Not too mention there was absolutely no competition or depth at any of the positions listed above. So basically those two had to create a team from scratch. After 2005 this team was little more than a freaking aging expansion team. Wow, so lets fire two guys that had to take over a shit roster with little to no talent and in the middle of year 2 fire them? Thank god anyone that thinks like that is not the owner because this team will never ever win with that assinine mentality.
That was b/c of injury, if Chad wasn't hurt we never would have had to try to find a QB. Kendall lis still a decent player, we all see what a mistake that was and mawae is still playing well. We had 3/5 of the Ol very solid. again b/c of injury. The previous regime had multiple plans in place to take over for Curtis. Lamont was here and we drafted derrick Ward who we were very high on but Curis kept playing well so other slost their chances and it became a hole. Our Dl was excellent until the new regime got here. At worst we needed another Dt to go alongside Dewayne. We had an excellent group of LBs when they got here but we are running the wrong system. Barton was our bst defensive player in 2004 and he's an OLB, he was also hurt by the move to the 3-4. Serviceable player. Barrett played very well in '04, he was a good corner. The D was almost the same as it was in the 2004 playoffs excet no ferg and no we had Tongue over Rhodes. There isn't an excuse for being as bad as we are w the talent we have. They also inherited 2 excellent WRs, a solid TE, 3 good OL, a good QB when healthy, excellent STs.
