Well, it may be true that Clemens would give us a spark, but I would argue that it would have a lot to do with the fact that he may be a more gifted QB at this point.

It's not as if we passed on a great run stuffer in the 1st round in order to take Revis. The only defenisve lineman taken in the 1st round after Revis was Justin Harrell who has been active for exactly 1 game. Alan Branch, the guy who could have been our nose tackle answer? Hasn't been on the active roster for Arizona all year. Revis is proving to be an above average cover corner and an excellent tackler for a corner. We've got the makings of a very talented young secondary.

If we had any kind of pass rush, I think Revis would look amazing. Unfortunately, our rush left when Abe left.

I knew for Chad to be benched he would have to play his way out of a job. I just didn't believe I would be seeing it happen this year. It is very hard to defend a guy that puts up 5 turnovers in two weeks though. And I think that is what Mangini is waiting to see. Either he has a third horrible game, and or we are out of contention and he can be freed up to play KC with no feelings hurt by anyone.

I think everyone knew the roster needed some work, but I for one am baffled as to how bad they are playing. I don't believe in the strength of schedule myth so that just leaves us over achieving last year. I would not have guessed us taking such a big step back. I think it surprised the coaching staff maybe as well.

After last season, I was so looking forward to this year. I remember watching C-Mart during an interview say that he had never seen a better coached team than last season with Mangini. But this year, starting pre-season, we have looked awful, top to bottom, especially the defense. You can change the qb and maybe lessen the amount of INTs, but our defense has so many holes to plug up, and it looks so small compared to the other teams. This sux :(

It does brother... it sucks bad. Just going to have to give the team a little more time to get it together.

It's time for a change. Whether or not it's entirely Chad's fault (which it's not), Chad isn't getting any better. I hoped an offseason without rehab would make him better than last year, but it didn't. I hoped a new runningback would make him better. It didn't. As magical as last year was, Chad was just an average quarterback.

Is Kellen better than Chad? Who knows. Maybe not right away, but with a few games under his belt, he should be. Is he the longterm answer? I don't know. Nobody knows. And no one will know until we let him play. Right now, we're looking at a top 5 or 10 pick. We need to find out what we have in Clemens. If he struggles mightily all year, we may need a new quarterback.

As it is, we're going nowhere with Chad. We're most likely going nowhere with Clemens, too. But Clemens gives us hope for the future. Chad doesn't. Chad's on the wrong side of 30, with an absurdly weak arm at this point, and he's making stupid mistakes at key times.

Plus, against Baltimore, I saw something I haven't seen in a long time. We came back in the 4th quarter. We had a chance to tie it up late or even take the lead. I can safely say Chad Pennington would not be able to do that, as he's proven that he can't.

Thank you for being the voice of reason. I can not do it because I can not deal with ignorance well.

There was nothing wrong with this draft. Mark this down:

Revis will be a Pro bowl caliber CB.

Harris is going to be a force in the middle of the 3-4.

So they traded up to get both. Ah but those picks were "luxuries". Funny how both of those "luxuries" are now both pretty much the best and most exciting players at their respective positions.

Also it is funny how this regime in its 2 years has drafted more players, that at the very least are productive, then any regime going back 20 years.

Please go back and find a Jets FO/CS tandem that has brought in more talented players in 2 drafts then Tannenbaum and Mangini.

Lets go over all the holes this team had when Tannenbaum/Mangini arrived:

QB- Needed a future QB and a quality back up or two.
OL- Had 4-5 holes there. Mawae was old as dirt and was hurt so everyone was in need of replacing. Kendall btw was an aging Jag that was close to being cut x2.
    RB- Curtis was done
DL- They need at least 3. A stud DE a stud NT and at least 1-2 for depth as rotation is a very important for a quality DL to function.
OLB- Who in the 2005 group was a stud Pass rusher? Sacks in a 3-4 come here.
ILB- Barton was aging and hurt.
    S- Coleman stinks
CB- Barret well and Dyson was not here yet.

Not too mention there was absolutely no competition or depth at any of the positions listed above.

So basically those two had to create a team from scratch. After 2005 this team was little more than a freaking aging expansion team.

Wow, so lets fire two guys that had to take over a shit roster with little to no talent and in the middle of year 2 fire them?

Thank god anyone that thinks like that is not the owner because this team will never ever win with that assinine mentality.

Back on topc: It is painfully obvious Chad is done. He can not make throws an NFL QB needs to make.

I don't want to admit this, but what you say is not far off. I do think we are capable of better than we have been showing thus far. But, what you say is realistic; we might be another 2 years off from making our run.

I think we are very close to seeing Clemens this year and it may only take one more loss for the change to be made.

What was our record when Chad took over for Vinnie? I think, I am not totally sure, but I think our record was 2-5 or 2-6.

Alot of people were under the misguided notion that we were going to contend for the Sb this year. I blame Tangini and crew for reading their press clippings because they fell for it too. They traded away our draft for two players. Granted I think they got two really good players but we were not two players away at draft time. People do not realize that they guys that are put in now like Clemens, Harris, Eric Wright, Brad Smith etc are being prepared for the 2009-2010 season. In a season with no chance at the playoffs they should get that valuable playing time when the standings don't matter.

The problem I have is we do not play with any emotion. It is like watching a practice.

Yeah, but BB sucks, so you can rest a bit easier with that off your list. Especially since Baseball isn't even a sport. :)

It's hard to say if KC is the answer. I'm still sceptical, but at the same time I think KC is more mobile and has a better arm to throw on the run. Whether that translates to more wins, who knows, but if you have a QB that can move, it should open more room up for both the run and passing game.

We only have 2 losses against teams that don't cheat, we can still turn it around against the honest teams.
