That front 4 should be a LOT better than this. They were better under dick head gase than now, and our coach is, gulp, a defensive guru.
    I'm starting to dislike, gurus....

I dont see those moves with Thibodaux...just bull rushing, and that dont work vs NFL tackles.

Karlaftis definitely bull rushes too much and plays out of control at times. Honestly that kind of why I am excited about him though. There is still room for him to develop. With proper coaching he will become a tactician. His energy and drive is non-stop. You can't teach that. His hands are good, he just needs a coaching staff to get him to use them more and to control his pursuit.

Folks are throwing out random white guy DE comparisons but he's more like Jadaveon Clowney in that he easily finds his way into backfields but needs proper coaching to harness that

I like him and Thibodeaux the best for the reasons that they have room to develop. I don't dislike Hutchinson though, I see him as more refined with a lower ceiling. I would be happy with either of the 3 and hope the Jets dont screw it up, they have to get one of them

Thanks, that's the best argument I've seen for taking him.

I agree. IMO the problem is the scheme. It's TOO aggressive. With much less talent last year, our run D was light years better than this year. Saleh has the DL attacking upfield so hard and fast, that they are running themselves out of position, and opponents know that, and have schemed to defeat it. Saleh so far has refused to change his scheme. If he doesn't make some adjustments next season, he should get the axe imo.

Then Crowder shouldn’t be back. You want no upgrades at WR? Moore and Davis are locked in starters

I definitely want an upgrade at WR. I was just saying that it may not happen because of how awful the D has been this season. Hopefully, it will, whether it be in FA or the draft. I can just see where Saleh goes to JD and says, "Look, I played along last year and agreed for you to use all the high draft picks on offense. It's coming along. I have been embarrassed all season because I had little or no talent on D. 2022 is my turn to get all the high draft picks on my side of the ball and most of the FA $s".
