Thats just not true at ALL. MJD is on this offense he does just as well if not better than when he was in Jax. This misplaced notion that "nobody can run behind this line" is so ridiculous it makes me laugh. NO! Nobody ON THIS ROSTER! Greene just isn't that good! There are plenty of times that i see an opportunity he has to break a big run that is floundered because he's a step behind.

If you dont want MJD for this team you're crazy. He's worth it, they just can't afford him.

Greene ran for 4.2 ypc behind this line last year. I'm certain that mjd would do better.

And it's not just better that the Jets need, it's more.

If they're really going to go 50/50 on runs and passes this season they're short about 200 carries right now, and that assumes that Greene can take 270 or so which is an open question.

Somebody needs to take about 200 quality carries for the Jets to get to 50/50. Ideally that somebody would be Greene with somebody else taking the 270+ as the main back.

Holmes is the thorn in the Jets side. Why so much guaranteed money to this clown. That money should have been used to resign Revis and bring in a feature back like MJD. Trade Holmes and be done with that clown. You would have to get plax or someone like plax and give vet minimum. Holmes is going to create headaches again. flush this turd and bring in a stud.

If you're another team and looking from the outside in at the Jets and you see Holmes has $18.75 million in guarantees over the next two years what is your incentive to bring him into your locker room at this point?

    His 15 minutes of fame.

Did you know that the Steelers had two receivers with 69+ catches last year that averaged 16+ yards a catch? In 2010 they had a guy catch 60 passes at 21 yards a catch.

Holmes was a product of their system. Outside of that system he has looked average and floundered at times.

That's what other teams are thinking as they size Holmes up and try to account for his personality deficits.

I love Antonio Brown. I picked him up on my fantasy team in the middle of the season, last year. Roethelisburger is good QB and Brown had 5+ catches a game and got up field on every reception, a few 100yd games (something I have never seen from holmes ((partly schotty's fault, mostly holmes fault)) not to mention holmes sudden fumbalitis problem and increased drops...IMO biggest mistake of Tanny era was the upfront monies he gave to Holmes. I also think I read on TGG here once that the draft pick we gave up for Holmes was used to select Antonio Brown, not sure if that's true, but if it is Pitt did pretty well on what we thought was a "steal".

Holmes makes the highlight reel catches, no doubt. Some people still thing he is a true baller in this league. Maybe, we can convince Jax and get a true running back in return. Somehow Jax would have to pay some of the guaranteed money.

If we had to ship Bart, who i personally love bc i believe he brings it and loves being a member of the Jets. I would do that too. Of course, I would ship Tebow and the circus that comes with him to Jax as well if they have any interest.

MOJO could make us a legit contender this year. We are stupid not to make this happen.

last edit: this is a sloppy post, i got to get back to work, but you all know my point. sign this beast. He fits the rex system so well...he fits the sparano system screen pass, misdirection, counter and he would benefit Greenes ability to crush a team when they are starting to look down...this would open play action pass. sign this beast.

Holmes is the best play maker on offense. One off year with several other issues on offense does not change that. Put the hate for Holmes aside. He brings more to this offense than any other player we have. He's not being traded, he's the one WR that Sanchez has good existing chemistry with. Trading him would be stupid and it would create an additional WR need. So then who do we bring in? Some low level iffy question mark aging vet or another rookie? I'd hope the Jets offense would show Sanchez a little bit more respect than that! He's earned that with the amount of game winning catches he's had here. People seem to enjoy pretending like 2010 didn't exist.

Oh ABSOLUTELY!!!! I remember watching last year, game in and game out ,sayin " what wonderful chemistry Sanchez and Holmes have". They reminded me of Mntana and Rice. Well, maybe thats a stretch. Marino and Duper for sure though

Since MJD was the top rusher in the league he wants to be paid accordingly. Wouldn't we ruin our cap if we make him one of the top 5 paid runningbacks in the league.

Guaranteed Money talks, and doesn't matter how long the contract is for. Front load the contract for the first 3 years for about 20 mil, and a roster bonus for 4th year. Simple as that.

Trade Holmes when his value has bottomed-out AND sign another cancer in Plax? Really?

I don't have much to add to the conversation, but I think "sign this beast" is the funniest shit, and I'm not even really sure why.

It's not so much trade holmes. It's trade the overpaid bum to free up enough room to sign MJD and resign revis. Plax is out there and, is garbage I agree, but he played well in the redzone, he's big, and he can block.

there is nothing more stupid than the "trade him" proclamation, as if trades simply happen because of the desires of one team.

before you can even make such a statement you have to also state why another team would want Holmes and his contract, making the Jets able to trade him in the first place.

    go.

I want a championship. I want players that are hungry. MJD is hungry he will
Make Sanchez job easier. Holmes is the type of player that talks talks talks about his pasy accomplishments. I personally don't care. What are you willing to do for your team this year? Fuck Holmes get me MJD

    MJD > Holmes

Easily, MJD makes players around him better.
