IF we had a top tier rookie prospect (and I dont think we do at the moment) then I would be all for getting someone like Schaub so we could bring the rook along slowly.

Last season, the Texans had the best defense in the league, second best WR in the league, one of the best RBs in the league and an excellent Oline and they lost in the second round of the playoffs.

The year before, they made it just as far with TJ Yates under center.

Matt Scrub is a JAG. He wouldn't put this team anywhere.

recent freaks like Andrew Luck aside, most young QBs have had the greatest success when they have been brought on slowly and had the chance to sit and learn and come in to the game at a controlled pace, those that get thrown in at the deep end tend to sink more often than they swim.

best thing we could do is bring in a decent vet and let Smith learn the game and system at the right pace because clearly it is too fast for him at the moment.

Great talent but it's clear he's still a stoner.

No No No. If he is top 10-15 Houston would not be looking to get rid of him. This guy took a step backward. Now appears to be taking two backwards this year. Can we just let Geno play a bit. He did not play well the other day but sometimes you need to also give Credit to other team. The pick the DB made while on Holmes was very good play and the strip tomahawk was another very good play by the defender.
I don't want any part of Schaub or would consider him now.

He has elite talent surrounding him with the Texans. He is not a guy who makes the offense better. With Schaub it is just the opposite. With no elite weapons on the Jets he's barely a Top 20 QB and his production here will be nowhere close to what it is in Houston.

    Pass....

Schaub, the example of a good stat QB that won't help you win in the postseason.

    Major pass.

    ok lets do this
    rodgers
    Manning
    Brady
    Brees
    Luck
    RG 3
    Wilson
    Big Ben
    Ryan
    Manning
    Newton
    Romo
    Rivers
    Cutler
    Flacco
    Stafford

there is 16 guys I put ahead of Schaub? Am I wrong?
    you can then put
daulton, Shaub, Vick, Tannyhill, Philly Back up, Palmer all 16-21 or so

then the new young guys- pryor, geno smith, Manuel, Boyer,
    then the bottom

He might be on par or better then 2 on my top 16 list- this is guy going in wrong direction also.

whether it's 10-15-20 guys ahead it doesn't matter. Schaub is not a guy you are winning anything w/ like a Romo, Rivers, etc... This league is about winning, I don't care what the fantasy #s are, can you make plays when they matter most? Can your team win big w/ you as the starting QB? That is all that matters.

Agreed, call it the "it" factor or whatever, but Matt Schaub doesn't have "it."

Besides, Schaub's a name better suited for a pharmacy or a stationary store, not a QB. Pass.

you should feel bad, there's no need to bring his family into this. You are better than that.
