He pretty much is a cheap option that we were looking for. Asiata is nothing special dude, but Forte as long as we can pair him up, he's going be a special player especially out of the back-field when it comes to catching passes. I think he could grab close to 60 passes with Chan as the OC. No matter the shitty pass that was thrown to him, I am confident Forte will grab it and get positive yardage.
i think you arent understanding my view on the situation. i dont view asiata as some stud in the making. i view him as a cheap young alternative who wont cut into our cap and might be on the roster in a few years. im not even attached to him, west or rainey, whomever id look in to those guys forte i think can have a solid year and help us. i think 60 catches might even be low. but i dont view us as a couple "win now" pieces from being a legit playoff team. I can see us even going backwards if mo doesnt come back, the line isnt improved, and the schedule doesnt shake out to be as easy. i think we need to retain our young solid talent. which means less 30 year old vets and more cheap platoon guys so we can keep mo. if you are in the group that thinks we can make a dark horse superbowl run adding 30 year old win now guys, then thats just a different view and assessment i dont share. im not looking for win now guys, i want to finish out this rebuild and look for sustained success under mac/bowles as i mentioned, im not against the forte move. good value, good player, good risk. i just see him as adding to the issue of us being loaded up on 30+ year old players who are declining and owed real money
Wow, now Forte, Powell and Robinson? Stacked backfield. Great WR's. Just need a QB. You reading this Fitz? Do what's right!
