From everything I've heard so far he's going to probably start the season on the PUP list which I think will keep him out for at least the first 6 weeks.
a 33 year old franchise qb who will soon be declining...not exactly a 26 year old receiver who is on the upswing of his career. the dolphins will use less of the wildcat as henne continues to develop and those running backs age
Certainly not happy about miami getting a star WR, but Revis should be able to shut him down. Plus, think about beli-cheat and the pats fans and how frustrated they must be that the rest of the division is getting so much better while they have done absolutely nothing so far this offseason!
Impossible to stay out of trouble in Miami. Dante Stallworth was just visiting Miami and we know how that turned out.
As much as I have love for Chad, watch Henne go down with an injury....Marshall won't be all that effective.
1. Good move for Miami. 2. 2 2nd rounder seems a bit hefty price to me, but then they got their guy, so price can go out of the window (unless Broncos somehow find once-in-a-generation guy with that 2nd round pick they received...) 3. Most of all, he is not going to the Cheats, and that in itself is a plus.
Maybe not yet but they have 4 picks in the top 53. Expect them to do plenty before the draft is over.
I had a feeling this would happen. No way the Dolphins continue to sit back and do nothing while the Jets have filled their holes at WR for late draft picks with Edwards and Holmes. They gave up two 2nd's but finally got themselves a legit WR. They're still no where near the Jets though.
Fukk u Dolfin! Good move by the Fins, but Marshall will get his DUI/DWI and be forgotten for the season.
He just got married (I think to the girl he was accused of beating). He might straighten out and that won't be good for anybody in the AFC East if he does.
So...I wonder how big of a contract Parcells will end up giving this guy. I know he can play out his tender for this season.....but i can't see the Dolphins giving up two 2nd round picks for a guy they don't intend to sign long term. At least with Holmes...if he gets in trouble.....it only cost us a 5th rounder....if Marshall gets in trouble, Parcells will have egg on his face.
I'm a little worried by this. The Dolphins raped us twice last year with that stupid wildcat, and now they've added a real threat at WR. Between them and New England, we have some tough games ahead of us.
Well, we will find out in the next couple of days. A new contract is supposed to be in play as part of the trade.
