    4 hits through 5 innings. that's good pennant race baseball against a team not in contention. good thing our payroll is about $100 million more than theres.

    Nice 3-0 this team has no heart...... inexcusable to get shut down by a rookie pitcher on a team that has nothing to play for.

    can we drop the "no heart" stuff please. think of how many times as fans we've been kicked in the balls this year, the team has gone through the same crap and they're still in a position to control their own playoff destiny with 3 games left. it's really pretty silly.

    I agree, it's not heart. they just aren't clutch and aren't consistent under pressure. some players rise to the occasion, and other wilt under it. unfortunately, we have far many more of the latter on this team.

    this is why the mets have problems, they have the likes of brian schneider and marlon anderson coming up in big spots.

    how many times do we have to watch marlon anderson and damion easley wave at pitches in the dirt before someone gets a clue they shouldn't be phing?

    Unfortunately there isn't anything much better on the bench although Cancel was big last night.
