Mark had a chance Monday night to begin to define himself. Less than 2 minutes to go in the game and the team needs to get in field goal range. Even a long field goal. Just get in range. All we got was some wasting of the clock and not much march. I have been a fan since early 70's and if the short pass to Keller that does not reach the first down mark does not signify the Jets, I do not know what does. With that I remain hopeful - but that was disheartening.
With the kind of defense we have, I don't understand why he doesn't throw deep more often. Those 10 yard out route interceptions are the ones that kill you (get run back for TDs), not the ones that you throw 30 yards deep. Since Rex has some much confidence in his D, I don't see why they don't take more chances down field.
Did Joe say anything about how he was holding his hands? That could have been the problem with the entire offense.
Namath tweets because of Gary Vaynerchuck. Gary thinks if you have a twitter and post videos on a blog, your shit doesn't stink. See Kerry Rhodes
In fairness to Sanchez, he did complete the pass that should have kept the drive going and stop the clock, the receiver has to get the first down and then get out. Doesn't explain the whole game, but if you want to judge him on that last drive alone it's hard to say that's his defining moment.
Joe also said: According to this article. And he's exactly right. We need to dominate the possession 35 plus minutes to have a hope in that Pats game.
