Good point. Missing his top 3 WRs, having no running game and average blocking means the blame falls squarely on the unpopular QB's shoulders.
The guy played fine today. Hit a couple of TD passes and converted some third downs while the running game dominated. They really didn't need him to do much. Complain about the last 4 weeks if you want. There's nothing to complain about today unless you need more passing yards for no reason.
Elisaha Manning closed that book. No, you DONT need an elite QB to win now a days...just a lot of luck, and NOT andrew luck!
Sanchez played mistake free football today. I'm just enjoying the Jets blowout right now but today's game is not a good one to use to judge Sanchez as he was asked to do very little. Not saying he didn't play well but this isn't really a good sample to use when evaluating Sanchez's ability because this game was more about establishing the run.
Yeah he played fine. Wasn't needed, but had the TD to Hill on 3rd down when the game was close. Played well on third down. Made passes, when needed
That's what I'm saying, today we didn't need to lean on him, but when we did he got the job done. But I mean all the fans that thought the offense struggling was 100% on Sanchez, that means with the offense succeeding it's all because of Sanchez, right?
I have been a huge critic of Sanchez and remain so, but today I am giving him credit for playing a solid game with what he was asked to do. But with that said I don't want to see people coming here thinking that Mark is now untouchable this season. It doesn't matter what he does against the bottom half of the league in my opinion, if he keeps screwing up against good teams and being inconsistent all around I'll keep calling for him to be benched. He played a good game, but I still have no confidence in him to be consistent or play well the rest of the way. Today it wouldn't have mattered who played QB for this team, Mark played mistake free football, good for him, but this doesn't prove anything in my opinion.
Imagine that. When you establish the run game, you actually do fairly well. Who would have guessed. That being said, I hope he can build on this momentum against the Pats.
