He's listed as 6 feet and 206 pounds and that is probably inflated by an inch and 10 pounds. Even so, I'd take him over McCarron any day. Manziel has carried his team while McCarron was carried by his.

Agreed. Id certainly think long and hard if he was at out pick though. His arm strength has improved as well, and Ive rewatched about 7 games recently and I only remember one batted pass- I dont think his height is really a disadvantage.

He has to be similar to Russell Wilson, and even more dynamic. Im just not sure about his ability to read a defense (one way or the other), simply just because Im no scout.

There is no way the Jets should or will draft two QBs. That would be idiotic.

On ESPN and Texas A&M's website he's listed at 6'1 and 210. We will really have to see at the combine or proday for the real measurements. Either way, I dont think his height is a disadvantage. In terms of weight, I would feel safer if he were my QB if he added some weight.

it's not idiotic. we don't have any serviceable qbs on the team currently.

While I tend to agree with this, it worked out for Washington, taking rg3 and Cousins.

But we have too many holes to use two picks on QBs

No, we do not. Unless you have an all world QB and a serviceable backup then it's a big need. Despite all these supposed holes we are near .500 with a QB turning the ball over at a pace near two times a game.

After this season we will have cap space for some holes and draft picks for others. Using all of the assets available to build depth team wide is what will help us get over the hump of mediocrity.

Washington's problems are due to trading multiple firsts for one of those QBs more than drafting two in the same draft.
