i understand we dont have the cap room to sign all the big names, but so far in FA, we haven't really done much all while the good players get picked up.

If he's at the Sabres game as a barometer of measuring the passion of the Buffalo sports fan, he'll be a Bill by lunchtime tomorrow.

especially when it will be blatantly obvious to Mario Williams that Sabres fans are identical to Bills fans

Well, in the sense that most of them are from Canada, then yes they are.

Maybe I'm confusing you, since "Edmonton" and "fan passion" are completely diverging topics.........

You sure? The Oil have sold out every game since the NHL lockout ended including 3 years of being dead fuckin last. Thats "passion", yet FAs don't want to come here because it's a smaller blue collar city. Sounds a little like Buffalo doesn't it? The Bills are the Oilers of the NFL minus 5 Championships.

The only way you land Mario Williams is by giving him the biggest contract in NFL history for a defensive player and even then he's hesitant to sign cause he knows Buffalo is a shithole.

Fan passion has nothin to do with it.

Showing up and sitting on your hands isn't passion.......

Then he won't be too impressed leaving HSBC Arena tonight, if he even goes.

@adamschefter Breaking news: the bills have kidnapped Mario Williams. Marcellus Darius sat on him while Kyle Williams stole his drivers license. Williams cannot board a plane without his license and the bills mafia is determined to cut of all alternate means of transportation out of buffalo until he signs. Day 3 of trying to convince Mario to sign convenes tomorrow. Plans are to drive around town to see all the welcome Mario signs, followed by 2 hours of Bruce Smith highlights, then they will reconvene for dinner at the one restaurant in all of buffalo.

Not a fan of the Sabres or Hockey in general. But been too many games at HSBC.

Not to defend Buffalo -- because I think it's the one city that's crappier than Rochester in NY -- but Sabres fans are not the sit on your hands fans. They are loud and def have passion for the team. They watch them through the good and the bad -only to be let down every year like their football counterparts

In all honesty, if his fiance is there in B-lo, it's up to the Bills' wives to make this thing happen more than anyone else..........

Good point. Better hope he isn't marrying a city girl. Although when she sees the contract with it might not make a difference.

and you do remember we thrashed you a few weeks earlier in Orchard Park, right?

Our team wasn't exactly playing good football when we met the 2nd time and we still beat you.

Spare me the injury excuse too please. Buffalo lost 9 of 11 b/c they were a bad football team again- not b/c of injuries.

Exactly... I mean throw me a bone here or something. Tanny with his book knowledge could find away to fit a good name or two in there. Not saying we don't have a good team but we need some type of change it's not like our current team won the SB or even made it to the Playoffs for us to just hold out.

It's not even two days into Free Agency. We'll have visits over the weekend, see where the market is on the guys we like and make offers we think are fair.
