At least save that stuff for when there's actually a play. The worst is Sterling did it when multiple runners advanced, so he named each one as "safe" at the next base.

I was all in favor of Eiland replacing Guidry as the pitching coach... the book on him was that he had worked with the young kids (Hughes, Joba, Kennedy); he knew them, and their mechanics. He used video efficiently. All that stuff. But we have seen Joba inexplicably lose 2-3 mph off his fastball, as well as his ability to locate, with fluctuations from start to start. We've seen the same thing with Hughes. Either there's something else going on -- and it could very easily be something as simple as youthful inconsistency or lingering effects of past injuries -- or it was Nardi Contreras who deserves the bulk of the kudos for the development of the young pitchers.
Either that, or someone just needs to tell Joba to stop pitching like a pussy. I almost hope there's something wrong with him, because it's otherwise almost inexplicable.
