All CBs get beaten. Some of these receivers are damned good. But Williams is the kind of guy who can save the defense's bacon in key spots. Because he finds the ball so well.
Next season he is locked in as the #2 CB. Thankfully Skrine can stay in the nickle and not have to replace cro. Skrine is awesome in the nickle. Walls is good too.
Dude probably would have 10 picks if healthy all year and a regular. Then again I'm drunk and happy off a Jet win. J-E-T-S JETS JETS JETS!
Bowles said Milliner has a hamstring problem. His tone suggested "same old, same old" and I'm guessing he's not counting on Dee for much at this point.
Honestly, it seems like Milliner's time as a Jet is over. Turned out to be an injury prone player it seems like.
Came out of Bama with the rep of always hurt but plays through it. Hasn't been able to stay on the field in the NFL after his rookie season. It's sad but maybe that's all we get out of him.
Williams is a natural ballhawk, something that you can't teach, and something the Jets unfortunately haven't had in a while. Hopefully he can avoid injury and continue to learn from Revis and the other veteran defensive backs on the team.
Absolutely. People like to discredit some of his interceptions or any cornerbacks for making easy picks sometimes. There's something to be said about always being around the ball at the right time.
Seems like his time in the NFL might be over too. Who would be stupid enough to sign an injury prone CB? The very label "injury prone CB" seems like a misnomer doesn't it as CB's get paid to cover, hit and wrap up. Him and DSmith might be on the same train outta town.
Milliner is wasting everyone's time. It is ridiculous how injured and nicked up he gets with virtually no contact.
This guy is always around the ball. It's incredible that he has 6 picks this season. He only played 15 snaps last night but of course he gets another pick.
The Jets need to put Milliner and McDougle back to return punts and kicks. If they get injured it proves they will never be healthy. Makes it more justifiable to cut them. Both picks were a waste. They are like the same person.
Every time Marcus intercepts a pass, Macagnan kicks himself a little harder for dropping our last $8M on Cromartie
Yep, but eventually those injuries piling up have a cumulative effect, especially when you're playing the game at a higher level (which is what we're witnessing now*). * I'm no doctor, but I did stay at a Holiday Inn Express....... (and didnt want to draft this dude at the time because of his injury history (I'm unfortunately one of those "injury prone" people as well. Old age will be hell for me)
Not at all. Marcus is developing and showing progress on the field. Cro will go next year and Marcus will replace him.
