like I said who is there in FA and how can those other three help us if a top draft choice can't.....makes no sense to me
u make it sound like the jets dont touch people with arrest records remember damien robinson, coles, or abrahams drunken accident
how many other times did all them get in trouble....either with the law or their team....Vick has all three beat by himself
For ever Ben Rothlesberger that is drafted there are a 100 Ryan Leafs and Browning Nagle's. Drafting a QB in any round is involves a great deal of risk and luck. I would much rather get a player that will almost certainly be able to help us next year in the 1st round than a guy who will most likely just end up being a drain on the salary cap for many years. Whomever we draft whether its Cutler, Young, Coyle, or Vick will most likely fail miserably at the pro level. Vick has 1st round potential but will cost us a lot less in draft pick and salary cap. If we are going to take a chance on a QB I would much rather it be Vick in the 6th or 7th round than Cutler or Young. The other advanatage in watching Vick fail over a 1st rounder fail is we won't give him near as long a chance to fail as a high pick like Harrington. Drafting a bad QB in round one often means many years of Jeoy Harrington type football. Much easier to pull the plug on a 6th round failure than a 1st round failure.
