lol i did that in my madden franchise... traded geno to the titans and moved up to # 2 (crazy how thats there spot in real life too) and it worked! Geno and two 2nds though. Not that it matters..just chiming in.
Mariota's arm isn't the strongest but it's more than adequate for the NFL. He's not getting a lot of depth on his drops and there's the big question about deep ball accuracy. He definitely looks different in the pocket than he does throwing on the move. Again, just a pro day and secondary to his game tape.
Sorry guys but the benefits of drafting MM are 2-3 years out minimum. Mac has just built a win now team. 2 yrs from now he starts dismantling it to pay Wilk and Sheldon. He's taking a pass rusher and going for the ring. He's already rolled the dice....just waiting to see what numbers come up.
So how did his pro day go? i dont feel like scrolling through all these pages in the thread. can someone sum it up for me? Like em? Love em? or pass?
He will not be a Jet. its just not going to happen v.v We will only ever get "The guy" if we compleatly are the worst team in the league and its not happening until the guys we just signed are gone
If you guys haven't already, check the article that legler posted in the draft forum in one of the threads about Mariota. It compares Hundley, Winston and Mariota's types of throws, accuracy, etc. during this past season, and Mariota comes out on top more often than not. That's more important than a pro day. The kid may be nervous.
It's not particularly enticing if a guy is nervous while throwing in shorts in front of 40 people considering the rest of his career will be spent doing it in front of 80,000 people with 300 pound men bearing down on him
Especially mine. All my kids and their significant others are coming in tomorrow and going to be home for the weekend--the band getting back together as it were-- am making a 10 quart pot of it tomorrow. Going to be slow cooking it for about 6 hours. Cannot wait. _
Agreed, but we're still talking about a 21 year-old human being. Nerves don't appear to have affected him too much in 3 years of college. It could also just be that he's having a bad day. Everyone has those.
