I agree that he needs to practice the deep ball and throwing outside the numbers. I'd also say throwing to the left as well. But on his deep balls, he's more accurate than Winston was this past season, and not far behind him on throws outside the numbers or to the left. I really recommend that article that legler82 posted. It's eye opening. There were facts there that surprised even me. He's a better prospect than I had originally thought.
Read the article I told you about earlier. He's more accurate than Winston in many categories and better than Bridgewater in some. This kid is not inaccurate. I didn't get to see the Pro Day, so I don't know what the hacks covering it were saying, but most of those "experts" are anything but.
ill look for the article. You didn't need to hear the hacks today. it was pretty easy to see balls flying over peoples heads, wrong shoulder, behind the receiver etc.
At the moment we don't have speed Amari will give us that and take some attention from our other WR'S
I'm not too surprised. Think about it. He's used to taking snaps in the shotgun. He's tried to do what he thinks the scouts wanted to see, rather than what he's comfortable and confident doing. Not a recipe for success. All QBs struggle with accuracy when they're thinking too much and their footwork isn't right. If I hadn't seen him play a lot or read several articles about him, perhaps I might have been turned off if I saw his Pro Day, but I did see him play and read those articles. I'm no expert, but other than Bridgewater, I believe in this kid more than than any other I've seen in a while.
The coverage was fine and they didn't destroy him, at all. Mayock was on the field and compared him to Matt Ryan. Conway, Baldinger, Mayock, Casserley are not hacks Really, it looked like he was thinking too much about his footwork and form and not just playing. He threw better at the combine. Status Quo with MM right now. When you watch MM in games you know he's not an inaccurate passer. A word pops up somewhere and it goes viral. People hear and see whatever they want sometimes irregardless facts and truth
I dont know about you guys.... but im greedy :3 I want aaaaallllllllll the quarterbacks >:3.... the jaguars can have the ones we decide we dont want 3 years down the line when we know which one is good
He didn't compare him as a player to Matt ryan he compared how they both had shaky prodays He did look pretty bad today but I put almost no stock into pro days
It's cold up there, I understand I have no ill feeling's as a matter of fact, I enjoyed the conflict. My Son was heading to SU Thank God I changed his mind, to cold up there for me. I look forward to the next conflict, even though you are cheaters. Say Hello to Melo, YEA HE SUCKS TOO
I'm glad to hear that. Thanks for telling me who was covering it and for your comments on Mariota. That's what I had surmised. I had no idea who was covering the Pro Day, but I've seen enough of a lot of the "experts" who cover the draft, talk about prospects, etc. and many of them are hacks imo. They're no more accurate than a lot of guys in this forum. I like Mayock more than perhaps any other "expert", but he's wrong a lot too. Conway I don't know. Baldinger is ok at times as is Casserley, but I don't put a lot of credence in what they say. Thank you so much for posting what you did. I get so frustrated seeing posters make comments about something of which they have no idea about what they are speaking. Others read it and take it as gospel.
Don't care. I have my 1969 Jets. My 1969 and 1986 Mets. My 3 Devils Stanley Cups. My 2003 National Championship. And about 10 NCAA Lax Championships. I'm not holding my breath on getting my football National Championship. I'm good. _
Right. That's what I meant. He rated him against others pro days too. Not exactly bad. Bad was Bridgewater last year. He was okay, average. There was a lot of comparisons made for perspective. But the coverage was fair. The guys under a microscope and then analyzed up the ass. People tend to focus on the negative. They all have negatives in the scouts reports. If you just looked at the negatives in scouts reports nobody would get drafted. Look at positives too. That pro day I doubt changed any teams assessment that they already had. MM needs to work on things. Labeling him inaccurate is BS IMO.
Pass on Mariota to take Cooper and draft Grayson later? Bad plan. Take Mariota and then Dorsett later.
