But why do you care what people think of you if you guess wrong? You realize this is all guessing, right? If you guess right, it's not that you KNEW he was going to be good, you just guessed right. And if he's a bust, you simply guessed wrong. It's a message board, nobody cares and if you're concerned about looking like a fool for guessing wrong then that's pitiful. Grow a nut sack. _
No having a great day, working from home then heading up to Newport this afternoon with the GF for the weekend. _
My concern for him has always been durability due to his size. I argued with A&M fans for the past two years about how he wasn't big enough to withstand an NFL beating and they were always like "he is 6'2" just look at the team site" Yeah after the combine he was 5'11" and his frame looks it. He'll be exciting for a few years but he is going to get punished the easy he plays and it's gonna be ugly
I hope he was impressive so there's no chance in hell the Jets end up with Geno Smith, Mike Vick, and Johnny Manziel.
I like Fooseball. I watched his pro day on ESPN and liked how he did his reps in his helmet and pads. I just hope he alters his style of play to pass first and run second. Where ever he lands I'll be watching
Johnny Punk? So he's not a hunk and he might've shrunk but he's got the funk, and he can dunk and shoot his spunk deep in your trunk ....ya angry drunk .
Yeah, there's no way he's gonna be able to run in the pros like he did in college. Even his scrambling in the pocket the way he did at A&M will not translate to the NFL. If he can change his game to throw first, and not look to make plays with his legs I think he'll be ok, if not he's gonna have a short injury filled career. Guys are just too big and fast in the NFL and I can't see his body taking that kind of punishment.
Unfortunately McElory is now retired from football! Would have loved to see him had thriving. Now won't see that!
Not that it means much, but apparently he had the highest Wonderlic score out of all QBs in this draft: http://bleacherreport.com/articles/...um=referral&utm_campaign=programming-national
I'm tempted to give him a thumbs down. Not because of how he'd play this year or next (which could be really fun to watch), but how he'd play 8-10 years from now. You want your franchise QB to have a long future carrying the team, and I just don't see Johnny Football leaping over defensive lineman launching a 60 yarder behind his back when he's on the wrong side of 30. Fran pulled it off, but he's the only one.
It just doesn't mean much to those that score a 10 or less but to those that do the hiring and firing it means something.
