A football player doing coke? Now I've heard everything! Looks, it's not a good thing and I hope it's not an addiction thing but this stuff happens. Probably a lot more than we realize. The worst part about this is he was dumb enough to get caught. I'd rather a guy be doing lines of coke with pornstars in a club in LA than getting shit faced drunk and driving around town putting innocent people at risk or murdering people because they scuffed their shoes and crap like that. Hope he smartens up but if he doesn't just hope he doesn't get himself or others killed in the process.
The only thing that will matter is how he preforms on the football field. Judging by the plethora of articles and media attention following Johnny 8ball, over the last few months, my guess is this kid is going to crash and burn sooner than later. Sounds like this kid won't be eating hot dogs on the sideline and wiping buggers on teammates, but probably high as a kite running onto the field with the defense and special teams lining up in 3pt stance, lost in outer space. "Don't worry coach, I got 'em!"
They only test for street drugs at the combine, when you enter the league or re-enter it, and just before training camp. It will be trivial for Johnny to avoid getting caught, unless he winds up in the substance program. If the medical director feels that these things in social media suggest he could have a substance problem (not even addiction), then he can order a psychiatric evaluation. That doc can then put Manziel in the program even if he hasn't been arrested or failed a test. At that point he would be tested every few days, for at least 3 months.
It's difficult to remain relevant in Cleveland. Expect this to get more extreme - heroin-fuelled animal sodomy is my bag bet.
Yawn. I really don't care about what Manziel does in his free time and I'm tired of the paparazzi treatment he gets. It's like he's on the Jets! Namath did all that shit too and he helped win a superbowl. It means absolutely nothing.
