Well, Lenny Dykstra "only" used PEDs as a Philly... EDIT: Does a WS appearance count? Because there's always Piazza*
There isn't, actually. The reason people talk about A-Rod, Bonds, Manny, Clemens, etc. is because there's evidence. With Piazza, there's only speculation by some people. Maybe he did, maybe he didn't. It's no better than picking any random player and saying he was on steroids. I got you, jonny.
Everybody is on steroids, enough with the fucking pissing contests. Even David Eckstein is on PEDs. Here's a picture before he started using.
Manny took HGC...A WOMANS Fertility drug...Men use it to re-gain the the testoserone they lost when they quit a cycle of steroids- ESPN...WOW.
I smell the rationalization du jour. It's very likely that Manny just started using PEDs since the trade last year. We all know that the clubhouse in Boston was as clean as a sterilized syringe, right? They wouldn't stand for stuff like that, even before there was testing. It was only after Manny started playing for Torre.... hmy: ... Torre... former Yankee manager... juicers on Yankees... OMG! IT ALL MAKES SENSE! THIS IS THE YANKEES' FAULT! [/Sox fan impersonation]
I'm just curious if there is any evidence he was doing before. I understand you're a bitter Yankees fan.
You didn't. I was just wondering if there was any that's all. Don't get all up tight. We wouldn't want a Mets fan to interfere on the Yankees / Red Sox arguments or anything.
Not bitter in the slightest. In fact, I'm rather amused today. My co-workers and Sox fans on this and other boards all seem to gravitate toward the same ideas.
Here's a non-partisan Mets fan dropping in: He juiced in Boston. He juiced in Cleveland. He juiced in a house, with a mouse, in a box and with a fox. Manny juiced here and there, Manny juiced anywhere. And he should still be a hall of famer. So whatever.
There is evidence that he beat up elderly clubhouse flunkies. So you got that going for you, which is nice.
The same evidence that Arod did with the Yankees or in high school..just make it up as you go. And of course there is those other 103 names..if he is on that list somebody will probably leak it now.
I'm not sure how anyone can care about this stuff anymore. Just assume everyone is juicing and move on.
As a Sox fan, I assume plenty of Sox players are guilty as well. Ortiz certainly looks guilty, but I'll wait until his name is dropped as well. If Manny did this while a member of the Sox (which I think he did), then F him. This seems to run so deep, and it appears that so many players from so many teams are frauds. I could care less if they played Sox, Yanks or Dodgers. They tainted the game and their legacy. Really a shame.
