a 1 game difference, that's not owning us. Miami has beaten us by an average of 3.8 PPG, we have beaten Miami by an average of 13 PPG.

Miami doesn't own anything besides 3rd place

2-4 equals a 1 game difference to you? Your math is a little off. We have won 2 out of 6 games the last 3 years. Call it what you want.

yes, if we win one more game it's 3-3.

    2 out of 6 the last 3 and 2 out 4 the last 2.

    Obviously.

Dolphin fans act like they have dominated us, it's a one game difference in the past 3 seasons.

I guess my point is that having a losing record to a team that has been inferior the past 3 years is a sign of that team having your number in comparison to other teams.

You are right. 1 win would be a 2 game swing since it would take away a win from the Dolphins. I got stuck on the 2-4 record. Still not a great record against them, but it is not as bad as it sounds.

    This is all bullshit
If anyone looks at the history of the Jets -Dolphins series
its easy to see that wins go in cycles, usually its streaks

Before this 4-2 mini run by the Dolphins
Jets won 9 out of 10, from 2004 to 2008

Jets have had at least 3 streaks of 8 wins in a row vs the Dolphins
Not so much by the Dolphins going back against the Jets

Considering the fact that the Dolphins have had the better overall record, the Jets have fared quite well against them over the years

I vote that from here on out any mention of the Dolphins on this site must be refered to as Dolphags, Dooshfins, or Gay Fairy Fucks. Dolphins should be a banned word on this site. Fuck those Dolphag Dooshfin Gay Fairy Fucks!!!!!!

Cleveland is 1-0 against NO in the last 3 years, they clearly have the Saints number

It sucks but you swept us once, then split the next two years. In divisional games, which are highly regarded as a toss up, that's not having a number. We should be beating you, but twice you got us on the tail end of horrible games. If it was 5-1, meaning you swept us twice, or 6-0, thats having a number.

If you want hang your hat on the 4-2 record go ahead, but if we split with you guys and we reach the playoffs and you don't, I can live with that.

Don't get me wrong I'm not hanging my hat on anything I am not one of those fans that parades around a winning record against a team when we clearly have been mediocre to bad the last few years

I was just trying to point out that we have had relative success against the Jets compared to other teams but it is hard to say that without seeming like you are bragging.

Sorry I didn't mean to come off that way

As for the 4-2 being a 1 game difference that isn't really accurate considering if the Jets win next time we play the record will still be 4-3 in favor of the Phins

Oh okay, thats fine. Yeah you have had success, and one of those games was a real fluke with 2 KR touchdowns. I think people mean one game swing in the past. Meaning if we won the KR game, the record is 3-3, not 2-4.

I don't think Manning will make too much of a difference, I say we would split again. If we can split with Brady, sweep Rivers, split with Manning in INDY, I think the Jets could split with Manning in Miami.

It would be interesting to see how much Manning would go to Marshall against Revis. That would be fun to watch.

That is exactly what I'm worried about. Bringing a guy like Manning in and having to fork over a lot of cap space to a stopgap and neglecting the team when it comes to other needs and STILL being 2nd/3rd fiddle in the division

Not to mention we would be even more of a laughing stock

That kind of mistake takes years to overcome

Yeah thats the exact reason so many Jets fans don't want him. They succeeded without Manning and there are no many holes where getting an injured Manning won't cover all of it. If you miss on this move, you set your franchise back at least 2-3 years.

I guess you forgot the guy who made your defense good is gone now. Bush is going to stay healthy two years in a row when he never made it a single season before?

Gotta love Dolphin fans. They're always good for some LOL's.

So you don't think a "healthy" Peyton would make the Dolphins superbowl contenders? Personally, I think Peyton on any team would make them playoff contenders, and obviously anything can happen once you get in. I think Peyton would make any team near .500 a superbowl contender. Obviously losing Mike Nolan isn't going to help, but I feel like we do have the players, and it's not just Nolan's system that made us good. Now sure, a bad DC could make us bad, but I think even an average DC will have us in the top 10...I hope so anyways. We have a good stable of running backs, some depth anyways so if reggie does go down for a few games we could survive.

We aren't that bad of a team. We have some talent. The lockout and shitty coaching led to our 0-7 start. I think with good coaching and a good quarterback this team is instantly a playoff contender (maybe 10-6 to 12-4), and like I said anything can happen once you get in.

It will be an interesting year. Alot of questions for both the Jets and Dolphins. I look forward to it. I just hope we can get a qb, whether it be Manning or Flynn or Griffen, I dont really care. I just want somebody to get excited about
