Initially I was just replying to a thread, but I thought this might be a helpful thread on its own. The problem with Manish is he makes himself feel ok pretending he is a heel. A heel is just playing a role, one that he is actually aware of. Manish dials in and trashes specific people who he has a personal agenda against. He did it with Idzik, Doug Marrone, and now Chris Johnson. He tells himself he’s a heel, an opinion columnist with a flare for the dramatic that people like. The truth is he is a petty, vindictive little man who wields his nasty little weapon of words. He is a trash reporter, not because he is negative, but because he makes it personal. I move that any Manish article that is linked to the board should be posted here so that those who do not wish to advance his career will not accidentally click and advance this man’s career. Criticism for the sake of critical thinking is fine. Criticism for the sake of personal vendetta is not.
Did anyone (@Brook! ) put down on a deposit on that "Fire Mac" banner for training camp? If so, can we apply it to a "Fire Mehta" banner instead?
This would actually be fantastic. The banners to fire the GM and coach or whatever are stupid. No one is making a decision based off a group of whiny fans. But if you flew a banner saying “Manish has no sources” that would be highly effective. I wouldn’t even want him fired. I’d want him to have to live with that embarrassment around the players, coaches, co-workers, etc. that saw it.
The guy must be better than I thought. He found the four guys in the organization who confided in the press out of the hundred or so in the organization. Great work, coach!
You pick the most obscure hills to die on. It’s really a piece of what gives this board its character.
Stopped in the convenience store and the back page has Shoe Booty scrambling w/ the headline 'Mehta: Jets finally have a QB, but their dysfunction could derail Darnold DON'T RUIN SAM!' No link to The NY Daily News article because I just got to the trailhead for a hike. I skimmed the article, and I hate to say it, but he's not wrong. The article also has a thumbnail in the middle of it of the back page the day after Mccagnan was fired. It's a close up of Gase's Charlie Manson stare with the caption 'THE LOOK THAT KILLS'. Hahaha, right up my alley. Will link in a few hours after I get back unless someone else wants to do it for me in the meanwhile. Enjoy the long weekend, folks.
