He is at practice in full pads............. TheJetsStream Manish Mehta Promising news for Jets: Nick Mangold (high ankle sprain) is in pads with his teammates at practice, per our man on the scene Stefan Bondy
Well if he's in full pads, I imagine he'll be out there doing some things. If he was just going to stand on the sideline and do things alone, they probably wouldn't have put him in the pads. Either way, this is a step in the right direction.
Not necessarily, last week Cromartie and a couple of others came out in full pads and went to the sidelines after drills. Good to hear he is practicing though.
I just hope he doesn't rush back because of the god-awful mess the line is in and do further damage. I'm sure the medical staff is on top of it, but its still concerns me a little bit. High ankle sprains are nagging injuries.
Well, this isn't good. JennyVrentas Jenny Vrentas Plaxico Burress, Calvin Pace and Garrett McIntyre (concussion) are off to the side working with the training staff. #nyj
I hope Pace does, didn't even know he was hurt. We had our best rush in years last week when Pace and Maybin were on the field together.
He's playing: TheJetsStream Manish Mehta Nick Mangold says he "missed a handful of reps here and there" in practice today. He's playing vs Patriots on Sunday. #nyj
Reporters are so dumb at times, some of the questions are just plain stupid. It's fairly clear what Nick the Viking thinks of them: http://www.newyorkjets.com/photos-a...a-Return/70b14374-d280-420d-b43c-033264ead5e7
On Sound FX on NFLN, they did a piece on Wilfork being mic'd. He asks Mangold, "How you feeling baby?" Mangold doesn't even pause and says, "I'm hurtin man." That ankle is far from okay, and he didn't practice all week.
Yeah, his offensive brain and best player on the field was out for 3 road games and the offense imploded due to his absence. I'd make that excuse too.
