There is certainly only so much a coach can do, but from what I could tell Mangini and company did nothing. They were still running empty backfield plays on 3rd-and-1 against Miami. Favre averaged 35 pass attempts in those last 5 games, while also averaging 5.8 yards per attempt. Five-to-ten pass attempts replaced by Leon runs in each December game might have changed everything, but it never happened, so we'll never know - instead, Leon had only 17 rushing attempts in the last five games, with 10 coming in the last game. There was bad QB play, but it's bad coaching that it was allowed to continue without any apparent change in strategy.

How did you prove my opinion wrong? You're a clown. My opinion is that Mangini is a far better coach than Edwards. There is no right or wrong.

My opinion is that oranges are better than apples, are you going to prove that wrong too? C'mon pull out some stats on apple and orange sales, let's do this.

Its really tough to compare the 2. Last season the team really looked like they were burnt out at the end especially Jenkins. If Mangini was able to have the quarterback he wanted and a little more depth at certain positions who knows what he could have accomplished last season.

Where did I say you were wrong?

Hurt my feelings? Hardly, I actually find it amusing that you're trying to tell me my opinion is wrong. I never even claimed to be right, I just shared an opinion. Now I'm a punk.

Get to the bar kid - the floors need mopping.

    No.

He got dumber when he played teams like Oakland and KC and decided to play empty backfield and get Favre killed....

The writing was on the wall back then... Vs the worst run Defense teams in the league the Jets needed to pound the ball.

I guarantee you you won't see almost an entire quarter of empty backfield against the bottom feed run defenses this year. You also won't see the worst QB's in the league having all day to throw Vs 3 man rushes... This coach will get to the QB come hell or high water.

IMO, if the offense was used right all along, favre wouldn't have been so dinged come the end of the season. I think Favre's play would have been better if healthier but, given the panzy ass defense the Jets employed I'm not sure it would have mattered...

That said, I'd still take Mangini any day over Herm.... Mangini can learn... Herm is just a waste.

While I blame Mangini A LOT for game plans and bad coaching last year...

Again, I agree that Mangini shits more knowledege than Herm...

Another thing is I think Mangini is real good at finding good FOOTBALL PLAYERS and assembling a TEAM....

Yet, Another thing Herm is a clueless Dolt at.
