I didn't like that they accepted the penalty on 3rd down. The Bills then proceeded to get a first down. It worked out rather well in the end when the interception for a TD occurred, though. I thought we played it too safe in the redzone at times when we probably could have scored a TD on at least one of them, but they obviously didn't want to risk a turnover. Overall, they did a good job today, though.
I agree. Fairly tough opponent. The Bills haven't really beaten anyone that good, but still a pretty good game, and a good win. Mangini can obviously manage a game....he was all over the fake punt penalty situation.
If not for the hold, that would be a second fake punt we would have fallen for. You think the CS would be all over that.
Mangini is 3-9 on the road, 18-21 overall. Definetly HOF bound HC here..[/QUOTE] 3-9 on the road? Not including today . . . Mangini road wins: buffalo in 06 Tennessee in 06 NE in 06 Miami in 06 Minnesota in 06 Green Bay in 06 Miami in 07 Miami in 08 That's 8 road wins not three . . . Did you just not include 2006 when you came up with that?
Just Sutton, he is beyond replaceable. Mangini gets a better DC, the Jets could have a winning season for a long time with this defense. Its the OL and the QB play that takes them to the playoffs and beyond. The players are here and they are good. Just need to put the pieces on the chess board in the right spots to make plays. Today was a good example. More of this = past round 1 of playoffs.
