I don't really understand why Belly hates the Jets franchise so much... I think it's enough that he fucked us over once. I'd probably punch him in the mouth if I ever met him. One hell of a coach though.... I have a feeling we're going to get absolutely embarassed this weekend, I don't like it.
So say it was Tennessee all you want...I mean, the Jets were just 4-12 as well, starting a new regime, implementing both a new offense and new defense...So don't act as if the Jets had a gimmie here. A QB coming back from his 2nd surgery, 2 rookie Olineman, I mean come on... Keith Bulluck, and your boy David Givens are playmakers...So they do have one.
David Givens is not a playmaker.... Keith Bullocks is definitely one.. You got me there... I think what Mangini's doing is great. I'm just saying that this game won't be close. This time next year...that's an entirely different story.
Courtesy? COURTESY?!! He just left one franchise to become the head coach of a direct rival!! This happens in business all the time, welcome to the real world. As a matter of fact, in corporate America, he would have been denied access to the building itself and met by 2 securiy guards.
Yes they do. You should venture outside of the box, you'll learn alot about football. I find that interacting with fans of other teams enlightens me and sometimes makes me laugh. Overall it is a great thing. Hope that helps. - Your friendly neighborhood Pats fan
I hope we locked Bellychicken outta the Meadowlands when he peaced on us. I would've slashed his tires actually.
thanks, your probably right, I should. Thing is I have a job, a life and a woman. I'd recommend any or all to you. You might be surprised at what enlightens you and makes you laugh. Anyway, enjoy the game. No matter the outcome, at least one of your teams will still be in second place sunday night.
For all the bravado in this post, it sounds a bit hollow. I think Patriots fans don't know what to expect from this game, and are probably a little concerned. The reality is NE is a depleted ball club, losing McGinest, Vinatieri, and Givens, all key players in their championship seasons. And no matter how you slice it, they did not look good at home against the Bills, a team even the "lowly" Jets beat at home last season. In this game the Pats have everything to lose and the Jets everything to win. If Belichik loses to his "pupil" he's not going to live it down and even if the Jets put up a good fight it will look badly on the Pats. I think Beantown is very worried about this game. GO JETS!
This is gonna be a gut check game. Whoever wants it the most will get it. We will see what all that talk about "finishing" was at the end of the game come Sunday. I'm getting a little fired up here. This is good.
hmy: Wow man, that is harsh. I did nothing to you, why the personal attacks? I am not a troll who comes here and causes trouble. Not to toot my own horn, but some of the guys here even voted my "Best Non_Jets Fan" here (look under my screen name.) Even with the personal attacks and insults, I still won't trash talk. I wish you well. Overall, you'll hopefully find that TGG is very tolerant and even welcomes fans of all teams, as long as they are respectfull. I'd like to think I am. Sorry you can't be an adult and simply talk football and have some fun. Maybe one day you will. Take care, DW
Yo, chill. Of course you did nothing to me, your posting on a public message board. I was responding to the "you'll learn alot about football" crack. I mean you no harm, really. I live in New England, god help me. These haven't been the best of times.
It'll be close for about a quarter due to the crowd and Jets energy level being at about 100 at the start of the game. But once the Jets realize they're the Jets...New England will do what they do best and throw down the hammer. Pats 27-10.
Kind of like the same thing Belicheck did to Parcells when he jilted the Jets to coach the Pats. Makes it that much sweeter.
I agree, as a Patriots fan, I get bored with all of the homer-ism and rah rah shish koom ba on the local boards. I'm always interested in what the rival fans have to say. I joined this board last year right after the Jets signed Ty Law in August and Ganggreen was in full fervor. I was not greeted kindly but I got a kick out of it nontheless. After spending enough time here, you can pick out who are the football fans who'll debate football rather than engage in personal attacks. I think Patriots fans who drop in for a cup of coffee to take cheap shots while Jets fans are down are really just morons with a low IQ. I don't align myself with fans like that anyways. I'd like to think that I can bring something to this board from a NE perspective that may interest some Jets fans. Others will just dismiss me as a "troll".....but their really missing the point and aren't worth the energy needed to respond ..
I do. When other teams post on rival boards and it's civil, it's a good addition. Dirtywater's always been a real good addition. In fact, there's only been one Patriots fan I can remember being a constant ass. Haven't seen him in a while.
Belichick is a great coach but doesn't seem to have the greatest social skills in the world. I'd be interested to know what he was like when he was young.
True, but only to an extent, and really, let's examine the reality. If the had stuff like family photos, personal items, etc., I am sure he got everything sent to him. No harm. If he had stuff like bobbleheads, posters (lol), and throw pillows, I am sure they sent it to him. No harm. If he had stuff like chewing gum, paper clips, porn, orextra bottles of half-full (positive!) Gatorade, I'm sure they threw it out. No harm. And finally, if he had stuff like, playbooks, draft info, personel info and items directly related to the success of the New England Patriots, I'm sure they didn't send it to him and made sure he had no chance to take said items with him. Harm avoided. So in conclusion, everyone wins and is happy, outside of the 45 minutes of hurt pride that he felt upon learning that he, like anyone else in his position, was denied access following joining the direct competition.
Well that is just it. That's always been the word on him. It ultimately led to his demise in Cleveland. You saw that presser when he resigned as the HC of the NYJ. There wasn't a person alive outside of Kraft that thought he would succeed after that. He is a man about football. Some have said he has become better in the realm of emotion, but just look at some of our moves and it seems very cold still. But who am I to argue, the guy has built a 3-time Super Bowl Champion with his style. ...and I like that!
