He was pissed about the coaching..... I hope he tells Schott that they gave up a 2nd round pick for Thomas Jones and they can utilize him more than 15 times a game.
Or .….........the entire metro NY area overrated his brain. At least the genius talk has seized. That was sickening.
That was a media thing. People picked up on it because some hack came up with a good headline to sell papers.
Sutton has got to go, there's got to be somebody on the staff that can gameplan more efficiently. Also, Schottenheimer really only has evidence of one good year of coordinating and one absolutely atrocious season. He can only ride 2006 for so long. I have less faith in this coaching staff than I ever did.
its about time he gets pissed. now when he watches the tape and puts back the 4-3, we might be seeing a turnaround. if he doesnt, then fire this stubborn moron
mangini did sound angry, and it's good to see some raw emotion from him. im glad he'll finally look at the tape with evaluating and demoting in mind. i think there'll be some changes next week; just hear it in his voice.
Mangini may be held responsible for our losses, but I would point the finger squarely on the play of our Offensive and Defensive lines this year. They have been quite poor. They very well could have been instrumental in putting Chad in situations where his limitations were fully exposed.
You know....Mangini is HIS boss. If he wants TJ to be utilized more,,get on the dang headphones and order that more plays be run for Jones.
Isn't it kind of late for Mangini to be getting mad. This team hasn't played well all season. The time for anger was after the Buffalo game. He needs to redirect that anger towards himself, the coaching staff and possibly the front office management.
That would be the most effective use of his anger at this point. If Mangini can figure out how the results so far are his fault then he can change what he is doing wrong and make an impact down the road. If he keeps looking for problems in the game film he's screwed because this Jets team is so bad at this point that you cannot possibly fix everything that is wrong with it in time to salvage anything from this season. Fix Mangini and there is hope. Fix everybody else and there is not.
If he came out and said" "Look I take full responsibility for what is happening at this point and I'm going to make changes in how I coach to try to fix things" then the Jets might have a prayer. Throwing Sutton and Schottenheimer under the bus is just greasing the skids for his own inevitable trip under.
