L. Coles doesn't think that Mangini should get all the blame for the way the "season has went." I'm so glad he values his colledge edumakashun.
The SNY poll has 47% of Jets fans calling for Ratliff to be the next QB. The commentators are in disbelief. WTF? Didn't they watch this team in the preseason? Anyone who saw that guy should include Ratliff in the discussion of the Jets future QB.
They need a complete Coaching staff overhaul.. Schott and Sutton must find their pink slips... They need a firey coach.. I see Romeo Crennel as DC..I watched how the Phins and Seahawks moved the ball and attacked when they were on Defense.. We need to game plan to our strengths not their weaknesses...
Did anyone see Mangini mouth "Why would you throw that?" on live television after the Brett INT. It was if he was speaking to the masses that he was ready to hold Brett accountable.
Mangini will probably be a successful HC in this league some day. He needs to learn leadership skills. He needs to be a man the players look up to and would run through a pane of glass for. He is nowhere near this level. His players have little respect for him as a human being. This is the first area of improvement he needs to make. After this, he needs to surround himself with others who can express their intelligent voice in decision making and he needs to take advisement. I wouldn't mind keeping him if he would admit these current faults--but it seems that he's going to have to learn the hard way by being fired, etc.
I was a huge Mangini supporter until the Seattle loss. I overlooked the Oak, Denver and SF performances as just bumps in the road. But this collapse is inexcusable; Mangina should be fired along with every assistant. Clean house. Bring in a real leader.
Which is unacceptable as a head coach, you need to make every member on the team accountable for their performance. I'm reminded of Singletary's recent speech concerning Vernon Davis...if a player is making decisions against the game plan, then he needs to be dealt with, and benched if need be. Look how it woke up McNabb by being sat. Mangini's balls are tucked so far up in his body they clogged his aorta. The man lost the team by not showing some emotion and getting the team fired up. He'd make a great press secretary for the government, avoiding all blame and with reactions a robot would feel cold watching...
Dude its Brett Favre.... Theres a handful of players you dont bench, one being Favre. Mainly because it was his last hoorah.
Ha! you see how many times the patriots went for it on 4th down ...i think at one point they were 0 for 7 on 3rd down and 5-6 on 4th....thats one of the man reasons they took control of that game! (Only to wish we had a HC or OC to do that)
If we are so blessed to be rid of this fat fuck, I dont think he will ever get another NFL head coaching job.
No, Mangini is not fine. If the DC is doing a shit job, HE is the HC and HE needed to fix it. The fact that he let Sutton fuck everything up, is on his shoulders, so he MUST go.
Would Mangini have a reaction if you were to kick him square in the nuts? My money is on no. His wife must be pissed. How would you deal with a man who shows no emotion?
That's no reason to not bench a player. If a player is underperforming to a point at which there is another player on the team that the coach feels can do better, than you look to the bench for a replacement.
