    Haaaa..You're nutz Cman!!..
So you're telling me that there is a 4th round crapshoot that would improve this team than Marshall?
    Hell no..

I'll never understand the logic behind the wanting to get rid of proven talent for a mid round unknown draft pick

I don't understand wanting to hold onto an older, expensive player when the team is going nowhere next season and needs to commit to a youth movement. The Jets aren't going to the SB next year. Aside from helping to keep the record more respectable (and he isn't doing a great job with that this season), and maybe helping mentor the young WRs, there's not much point in keeping Marshall imo.

At most Marshall is only going to play one more season. The Jets are already over the cap for next season and need cap space. By trading or cutting Marshall, they could save $7.5 million on the cap. It doesn't sit well with me that he is so complacent about dropping passes. It doesn't seem to bother him at all. As Cman has posited, Marshall's support of Fitz could be the reason Bowles has stuck with Fitz so long and they may be a little wary of his speaking to the media.

Not only would the $7.5 million give them money to address other needs/holes on the team, but would give more reps to Enunwa, Anderson, Peake and J. Marshall and help speed their development. At a minimum, the 4th round pick could provide a solid depth or STs player, and could even yield a starter if the Mac drafts well and gets lucky.

    "Save Money"? That's it?
How about what is best for winning?
idgaf about reps..I want the best team on the field and idc how much it saves Woody.

Now, if you said trade him for a younger proven player with upside...ok but this whole draft pick thing makes no sense when you're trying to win games.
We've been building for the future for 40+ years..

So we trade him for a 4th rd pick ..he doesn't make the team or gets put on the PS and never sees the field.
    or
Keep B-Marsh for this and next season, he still fits on the team and can still play and makes us a better team w/Decker and Q lined yup with him.

I just am so tired of letting good players go...it's so damn annoying
