I just traded away all of their players to teams that needed them for either aging vets or developmental players. If I load up on top round picks, it gets too easy too soon. This team had tons of cap space once the season started, so I signed Bryant McKinnie, Brian Waters, Shaun O'Hara, Leonard Davis, and Nick Kaczcur to one or two year deals. My offensive line was fucking horrible in the preseason, so my top priority was fixing it short term. My linebackers are pretty terrible, so I might try to sign Keith Bullock and Dhani Jones for one season until Nate Irving and Mark Herzlich are ready.
Passing is way harder. I feel these Linebackers and Safeties have some RIDICULOUS vertical jump sometimes and some agility to cover space.... Very realistic but Almost makes me want to break shit
I've been killing quarterbacks with Stephen Paea. He's incredibly strong and I've just been tossing guards and centers all over the place. ...sort of experiencing the opposite here. I have almost no time to pass the ball - my QB is getting hit on almost every pass attempt, even quick outs and slants.
I don know, online I haven't been getting shit for a pass rush from the jets which I guess could be realistic. The least two games I have played were frustrating as hell. Revis and Cro were getting beat Down field and everything I did to get pressure got stuffed. Won one somehow and lost the other.
You really have to dance around in the pocket to pass. I feel on all deep throws I dont have time for the route to develop. Playing defense is easy to me funnest part of this game
there seems to be no happy medium as far as the OL pass blocking goes. you either have all day or no time at all. ive really only played as the jets so i dunno if its the older WR's but seperation is almost impossible to come by. burress catch in traffic comes in handy though. holmes gets jammed at the line almost all the time. slants, comebacks, and well timed drags appear to be the only thing i can make work. but yes defense is far easier than offense it seems.
Just played with the texans... Their overall may be lower but they are a far superior madden team. They mad Williams a complete beast, he was killing it in pass coverage as well as rushing the passer and blowing up run plays.
I made a community for 360 yesterday. Theganggreen gets blocked by their filter so I have it named tgg community. You can just search by abbreviation tgg to see it.
EA HATES YOU. They strive to plunder your gaming experience. EA spends more capital on advertising then it does on development. EA treats its customers like toilet paper. Don't feed the corporate mobster that is EA.
Falcons sem to be my favorite team to use. Abraham gets through every single play. Receivers are dangerous, Turner is a beast, and Ryan is pretty good. I've always been pass heavy but this game I feel like you HAVE to establish the run. Bullet passes get picked off like crazy. Seems like you have to float passes over the middle over LBers and shit. Only thing that's driving me nuts is you cannot throw on the run. Which is realistic but I was so used to doing it in older editions.
I don't get why they don't use the audibles from NCAA, they're much simpler and better. The game looks nice, but I'm a little disappointed so far. I wish 2K could still make a game, always loved that series.
I didn't play NCAA this year but anything would be better than this audible system. I play online a lot and tons of people run their entire offense based of changing the play at the line after they see if it's man or zone defense. Usually I like to wait as long as possible and audible to a zone out of man or vice versa to mess that up. I can still do it but they just made it unnecessarily difficult.
The inclusion of Rise Against and Foo Fighters on the soundtrack excited me to no end. Then I heard Lil Wayne. Fuck that shit.
So I want to start a discussion on the scouting system... I hate it. Love the idea, just horrible execution. Scouting in the past was just way to easy. Now, we literally have a basic read on about 45 players, and a great read on 5. everybody else, we have nothing on, not even combine numbers. So once all of your "scouted" guys have been drafted, you are drafting blind, with nothing but a name, a height/weight and a picture. Maybe I spent too much time focusing on guys I had previously scouted, and need to spread it around a bit more in the offseason, but you have to find out more about the guys by doing multiple scouting trips. Honestly I was excited about it, because I felt the scouting system was going to be very close to Head Coach 09. Which to date, is the best scouting system I have seen in a video game. You garner different details at different workouts and you get good info on tons of players. While at the same time not getting great amounts of info on anybody without several scouting trips. But once draft time rolls around and you don't have anyone left that you scouted (or guys that you would want to draft after scouting them) there is some basic info available about guys, and somewhat of a skill set. Granted its unscouted so it could be completely wrong, but its better than nothing more than a height/weight and a position to go off of. My initial draft class was abysmal. three guys with F potential, one guy with a C and one super human NT which i got in the 3rd round with an 84 overall rating and A potential. Oh and I traded out of round 1 for a future 1,2,3 with Carolina. So it wasnt the worst draft class in the world but nobody outside my NT will be on the roster next year...
Funny story, they put this Indian girl as a Goalie in 08 or 09 (I forget honestly), and gave her 99 rating, and every so often you would run into a computer team who had released their goalie and signed the make-a-wish girl and would shut you out lol
This. Love the soundtrack. 6-foot-7, Award Tour, Tinie Tempah, Rise Against, Beastie Boys, Common/Nas, Foo Fighters, Pete Rock & CL Smooth. Very good mix of a soundtrack. Mostly rap, but good rap.
