You make a good point - we'll have to see if we can get everyone to commit to a day well ahead of time. If not, we'll just have to go with the stock rosters.
Unlike a fantasy draft, we can do our draft over the course of a week or two weeks or whatever it takes - no time limit necessary. I vote that we do the on-line draft and give everyone as much time as they need to pick (with a potential time limit if possible)
I think thats ridiculous... Pick a day that everyone can agree on. Remind people consistently on here. and have everyone on, on that day... Do the draft in an hour or so.. Because taking 2 weeks to do a draft is just stupid.
If we can pick a day that EVERY person can be there, I'm all for it. It would be nice to get it done in one shot. I think that may be an issue though. I don't think 2 weeks is a ridiculous idea, I have fantasy football drafts that take at least 1 week every year and that's only with 8-10 people. We will put it up for a vote when we're closer to the release date, maybe a lot of people think it's stupid, I don't know. I also think we should only do about 30 rounds, then simulate. We can get our starters and a little depth out of that, then let the rest of the 2nd and 3rd stringers get picked up by the cpu. This will also be something to vote on. We are only doing the fantasy draft if you can do it with the online leagues. If you cannot do a fantasy draft through the online leagues, we will pick stock teams based on a random order.
We can do the drafts on the system, but not over weeks as far as I know. I think everyone would have to be there.
a full draft takes about 20 hours not an hour or 2 52 rounds X 32 teams you do the math even a at a minute a pick do stock rosters
You can have 2-32 teams/ league http://www.sportsgamer.com/forums/eafl-community-forum/192762-madden-2009-online-leagues.html A League of Your Own "Whereas 2K players have had online leagues for years, Madden fans were left out in the cold like those Patriots fans wearing 19-0 memorabilia after the Super Bowl. No longer. For the first time in the vaunted franchises' history, Madden 09 features online leagues. Select your team and go head-to-head with up to 31 other human-controlled teams as you vie for a playoff spot and the online league championship. The game doesn't support AI controlled teams and ditches the NFL's standard division and conference format in favor of a Premiership-style table. The commissioner determines how many games make up a season, and the top half of the league will qualify for the playoffs. Players can select any NFL or created team they want, or the league can host a fantasy draft. While there are no free agency or franchise options, you can perform player-for-player trades. The flex scheduling allows league members to play their games in any order, which will help speed up the league's progression
