No thanks. Guy wanted no part of the Jets a couple years ago when his buddy Herm was there. Exact kind of guy the Jets should want no part of. Someone who scorned them. Plus he's overrated. Maybe he can sit out this season but get voted to the Pro Bowl.

I get damn annoyed every time an old vet becomes available and we get "connected" with them. Lynch was good many years ago but sadly he is now a cheap shot, some of his late hits in past 2 years makes me smart. The main reason I don't want him here though is I want all "connection" with gatorade mouth Herm severed forever, however tenuous.
The Jets should sign him in a millisecond. He made 2 Pro-Bowls over Kerry Rhodes. Face reality that simply means he is a way better player. I mean look at their numbers. This team needs a Pro Bowl player........ who are we going to depend on? Guys like Rhodes, Harris, Jenkins or Revis? I mean come on this is a no brainer for the Jets.
He wouldn't be "camp fodder" if we signed him. You don't cut a recently signed John Lynch. A guy like Lynch isn't brought in to beat up in camp and then just throw away...he's a proven veteran. His skills have clearly gone south, but he's still a great leader. Those two recently signed Rutgers' players, Renkart and Girault, are camp fodder. They're camp fodder, not John Lynch.

Go read the "Rhodes leading this defense" thread. We don't need Lynch, this is a stupid thread. Why the hell would we ever take a safety at the END of his career when we have a future pro-bowler in Rhodes who is also the leader of this team's defense. STUPID. Kill the thread!
