Possible. Although more likely the front office of a SB winning team a) knows how to draft/build a team properly and b) wants to protect their SB winning QB ( with clout ) seeing the better he is protected the longer he lasts on the field while imagining life without him.
Wouldn't the QBs also put pressure on their GMs to draft receivers? Or maybe they know LTs are more important than receivers?

From 2009 to 2018, holding was called on 2636 rushing attempts and 1673 passing attempts, Keep in mind that there is more passing than running in the NFL. So officiating also plays a big factor in why there is more passing today in the NFL.
I believe this is a direct result of Brady and Belicheat crying, cheating, and paying officials. And probably more crying.

Actually it was Polian & Manning's Colts whining that led to many of the rules changes we see today. Belichick & Brady just went with the flow. Of course the stupid Jets choose to swim upstream try to win by holding opponents to 10 points a game & pounding at 'em with slow as eff Bell.
I won't doubt Polian had some to do with I, but Tuck rule... that was the Patriots. Whether it be deflating footballs or filming things against the rule the Patriot have always been cheating. They have had rules change or made up on the fly to allow them to win. I guarantee they have a huge hand in the way the game is played today, including all the rule changes to make it a pass happy league. You can present none of this for the Colts though.
