The Jets talked about pacing Ladanian this year, to keep him fresh for the end of the year and the playoffs. In doing so, he has the most rushing attempts and yards and most RECEPTIONS on the Jets. Plus tied for most touchdowns with 5. He is the man.

Also, all the cries about losing Thomas Jones. Here is how he compares right now:

    Rushing Yards:
Tomlinson: 656 4.7 yards per cary
Jones: 573 4.1 yards per carry

    Touchdowns:
    Tomlinson: 5
    Jones: 3

    Recieving:
    Tomlinson: 36 catches, 244 yards.
    Jones: 5 catches, 40 yards.

And the funny part is Thomas Jones is actually playing pretty good. :)

Shonn Greene is gonna be a monster though. This guy almost won the Heisman. He breaks tackles and guys bounce off him, and Greene just explodes efter that. Sanchez-Greene pick was pretty much the start of a long Jets run of success. But you know something? I kind of hope L.T. retires as a Jet. I mean he's a Charger for life, but it'd be good to see him just play out the final years of his career here, and prob win a Super Bowl.

Normally, I don't get too attached to players who join my favorite teams @ the ending of their careers but it's hard not to like LT. He's playing well & he's taking the high road while his old team trash talks him. He seems happy & grateful to be a Jet & from all the articles coming out, LT is just a really positive factor in the locker room.

Read some quotes how he's been helping out Greene & McNight & all I can think of is how lucky Jets are that the Chargers don't know what the heck they're doing. Also, makes me feel good to know Rex is not just a lot of fun for the fans, he can connect & inspire his own players in ways other coaches can't. Would be cool if LT retired as a Jet (with multiple rings would make it even sweeter for all of us).

I think Ryan and the rest of the coaches are already looking ahead to the playoffs on this one. Last year, Thomas Jones took the beating for the stretch run, leaving Greene as the only fresh back going into the postseason. This year, they'll let Greene shoulder that workload, since Greene is exactly the type of power back who can take that sort of beating and keep chugging, especially at his age. With any luck, over that same time Sanchez will impress people enough to keep defenses from stacking the box in the playoffs, and then Tomlinson will go nuts.

Make no mistake, Tomlinson wants a ring as bad as any player on the roster. This is a guy who will be playing the most inspired football of his life if the Jets get deep into the playoffs. If we draw the Colts in the AFC championship game, I'd set the over-under at 150 rush yards for LT. If we somehow got the Chargers there, I'd set it at 200, and I'll keep it at 200 for the Super Bowl.

I know LT will be playing for his life this postseason(assumig we make it there)but I think that's being a bit too optimistic about how LT will perform. I can definetly see him rushing for alot against the Colts with their mediocre run defense, and Bob Sanders is out for the year so I doubt anyone stops SG or LT in the midfield once they break out.
