I doubt it, when your as good as Lt you probably didnt even think when you played everything was just instinctual.. You know ?
i caught some of the interview and it was difficult to listen too. LT sounded wired on something and frequently used "sucked" and i heard the word bullshit as well. if the jets lose tomorrow we are all gonna need/want whatever is in his medicine cabinet... about gholston....we may be grasping for straws here. we have all ripped gholston a new one and i do not think he has the goods. IMO - the main hindrance is the fact that he is guaranteed 20 million big ones. the incentive is just not there. jil
I still believe Gholston will be fine. Yes, there is a lot of instinct in playing at a high level, but he's learning a new position. Things won't be instinctual overnight. It'll take time a repitition.
i just watched the 1993-94 Week 18 game Cowboys vs. Giants. LT is a beast wish we had a player like him on the Jets
I'm watching the 1994 Broncos/Chiefs Monday night shootout and Derrick Thomas was a beast. Why he's not in the HOF right now baffles me.
I'm listening to the LT interview on iTunes right now, I don't know if he's a burnt out stoner or just stoned but LT is not all there mentally. He didn't even know Gholston's name, Francesca had to tell LT his name. And I'm not sure if what LT is saying really makes Gholston look good, LT is saying that he himself was good in coverage but the team didn't use him that way cuz he helped them more by pass rushing. LT seems to be making the point that being a good pass rusher doesn't hurt you in coverage. Anyway, listening to this interview all I've really learned is that fame and fortune means little when you piss your brain away with drugs. And regarding LT teaching Gholston anything, LT admits he couldn't teach his own son how to do what he did because what he did was instinctive and that can't be taught. So if he can't teach LT jr. I doubt he's gonna turn Gholston around.
